Bottleneck Gallery and Justin Ishmael are teaming up to release this epic new Astro Boy screen print by artist Eric Tan! Alongside ISH, BNG has been steadily working their way through a dream team of artists in its ongoing print series dedicated to Osamu Tezuku’s Astro Boy. Today, BNGxISH are thrilled to release Eric Tan’s ode to the manga and anime legend.
As Bottleneck Gallery explained, “Eric’s piece appropriately pays homage to movie posters for Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, a movie that Tezuku used for inspiration while creating Astro Boy and the city he resides in, Metro City. Eric’s take on a joyful Astro is heartening, and we’ve created some awesome variants to go alongside the art deco style of the print.”
Astro Boy by Eric Tan is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 150 pieces and will retail for $60 and the Variant Edition is limited to 150 pieces and will retail for $60. There will also be Foil Editions of both the Regular and Variant, which are limited to 50 pieces each and will retail for $80. Additionally, there is an Aluminum Print on a 2mm thick aluminum panel.
