Nakatomi has unveiled it’s launching a new ongoing line of officially licensed Ultraman prints! First up is this epic “Ultraman 55th Anniversary” screen print by artist Tom Whalen. As Whalen explained, “Despite being immersed in kaiju culture from a very early age, I had never seen a full episode of Ultraman until I was well into my twenties. It wasn’t until I attended a late night screening of the pilot episode that I fully understood what absolute insanity the Ultra-universe held in store. Needless to say, I’ve been hooked ever since and I’m honored and humbled to help celebrate Ultraman’s 55th with Tsuburaya and Nakatomi!”
Ultraman 55th Anniversary by Tom Whalen is a massive 20”x30” hand numbered and embossed screen print with two metallic silver inks. Every print in the Ultraman series will be embossed with an official Ultraman stamp designed by Tom Whalen. The Regular Time Edition is available at store.nakatomiinc.com/ultraman.aspx from now through Tuesday, July 13th, for $50. There is also a Silver Foil Variant on rainbow foil paper that is limited to 66 pieces (for 1966 – the year Ultraman debuted) and retailed for $100.
