Collectionzz has teamed up with superstar Australian artist Ken Taylor for the next poster in their Iconic by Collectionzz screen print series commemorating another legendary moment in music history! Check out this retro cool Willie Nelson screen print gig poster, which commemorates the iconic musician’s two concerts on June 29th and 30th in 1974 at The Texas Opry House. These shows – which took place only a few months after Willie released one of the best concept albums ever, Phases and Stages – transformed Willie from a Nashville songwriter to a country rebel!
This marks Collectionzz’ second official Willie Nelson concert poster, and their debut collaboration with Ken Taylor! As Collectionzz explained, “Ken Taylor brings his brilliant line work and shading to this project, and does it with a 70's rock poster aesthetic.”
Willie Nelson “Austin 1974” by Ken Taylor is an 18”x24” hand numbered screen print with metallic inks. The Main Sepia Edition is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for $75, while the Cool Tones Variant is limited to just 35 pieces and will retail for $125. Both Editions will go on sale at noon EDT today, Thursday, August 19th, at iconic.collectionzz.com.
