Last week, Alex Pardee launched a Kickstarter campaign for his new soft vinyl figure, Future Me! Out of the ground and into your hands, Future Me is a 9” articulated soft vinyl toy based on an original illustration by Pardee that was then transformed into a fully functioning vinyl toy by Rocom Toys. It is a dark comedic look at what the future holds for all of us!
Custom sculpted by Stephan Ehl of Paper Mechanic, the organic details of Future Me paired with a simple vintage quality help merge the toy’s ‘90s action figure elements with the traditional sofubi medium. This massive 9” figure will have 6 points of articulation – including head rotation, hip joints, shoulder joints, and waist swivel – giving this figure more poseability than your average collectible art toy.
Fans can ensure they add the Future Me soft vinyl figure to their collection by backing Pardee’s Kickstarter campaign here for as little as $60. This awesome new sofubi figure is currently available in five different colorways: two blank editions, Bone and Black, and three painted editions, Standard Edition, Noir Edition and Happy Haunt Edition.
