The last time French artist Fakir (of Fakir Design) went to Japan, he was seeking a food adventure. As a self-professed sushi addict, he swore he would not trust the “sushiadvisor” or “best chopsticks” websites and opted instead to get advice from the locals. Soon he found himself asking advice from an old fisherman who smelled of the sea himself, but pointed Fakir in the direction of a curious spot tucked into a neighborhood that Fakir would normally never venture alone.
The experience stands out in his mind as so mysterious that it spawned the idea for the Tako’s Revenge 5” Dunny, which is being released today by Kidrobot. “Tako” is a Japanese word for octopus… Your imagination can now fill in the blanks!
