In celebration of the release of Ghost Stories on Blu-ray and DVD today, September 4th, Mondo has teamed up with artist Ghoulish Gary Pullin to release this epic new movie poster for the film! Ghost Stories is an awesome horror anthology anchored by a professor who specializes in debunking all things paranormal. His skepticism is put to the test when he receives three cases of macabre tales around an abandoned asylum, a grisly car accident in the woods, and a man visited by the spirit of his unborn child. While The Blot’s never seen this film, Pullin has done an amazing job weaving together the three tales in a striking singular image.
“When Mondo asked me to create a poster for the film, I grabbed my pencil, a flashlight and got to work. Ghost Stories is an anthology that weaves together three chilling tales with genuine scares. It is a fun and fiendish tribute to the Amicus’ UK horror productions from the 1970's. I was inspired by the UK posters of that era with their vivid colors and bold graphic design. I landed upon the idea of a graphic, spooky ghost that unified the illustrations of the phantoms from the film, and a few other hidden treasures within the shadows. I think of anthologies as carnivals for the mind - short but exciting rides that leave you with just the right amount of adrenaline. The design of the ghost itself is something you could find glowing in the dark on a midway ride and hints to the thrills waiting inside.” – Gary Pullin
Ghost Stories by Gary Pullin is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 175 pieces and will retail for $45, while the Variant is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for $60. Both versions will go on sale at a random time today, Tuesday, September 4th, at the Mondo online store.
