At the Five Points Festival 2018 taking place June 2nd-3rd, myplasticheart will be releasing this FPF exclusive red colorway of The Messenger by kaNO and Munky King! Christened the kaNO Edition, this all red version is limited to just 50 pieces and will retail exclusively at the MPH Five Points Fest booth #336 for just $60. kaNO will also be in attendance at the 2nd annual Five Points Fest where he will be signing at the myplasticheart booth on Saturday, June 2nd, from 1-2pm.
For those of you unfamiliar with The Messenger and its message, here’s a brief explanation of the figure by Munky King: “Football players often take a knee when someone suffers a severe injury on the field. An enduring expression of empathy amidst the combative intensity of the game. Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the National Anthem in solidarity with African American victims of police brutality. His call for empathy was met with angry vitriol from a polarized society. His message co-opted by powerful interests to serve their own agendas. But his call for social justice endures through the iconic image of taking a knee - a solemn testament to the injury of those denied the equal humanity which lies at the core of America’s ideals.”
