Today, Wednesday, April 18th, marks the anniversary of when the Misfits played their first show at CBGB’s in New York City over forty years ago. To commemorate this iconic event, Obey Giant is releasing two epic new Obey Giant x Misfits screen prints designed by Shepard Fairey! Check out “Horror Business Tomb” and “Horror Business Crypt”, which brings back Fairey’s iconic merging of Andre the Giant with the Misfits’ fiend skull.

The Misfits art is pure alchemy genius and the best example of remixing marginal subculture imagery into a cohesive cult brand in history. I remember making my first homemade stencil of the Misfits fiend skull back in the mid ‘80s and how proud I was of how it looked sprayed on a t-shirt.
