Check out these awesome new Parliament screen prints by Don Pendleton! Produced by Poster Child Prints, these two prints were printed on matte black paper with high gloss ink creating a kind of reverse stained glass look. The gloss ink produces different effects depending on the angle and source of the lighting. Aren’t they beautiful!?!
As Pendleton explained, “The Parliament print was, in part, inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch folk art, known as Hex signs...which were created by equal parts painting and design to produce circular signage that was typically used on barns as far back as the early 19th century. The signs became a means of communication, using geometric shapes, symbols, and patterns. With this print, I used my owl shapes with negative space to fool the eye.”
Parliament by Don Pendleton is a 20”x20” signed, numbered and embossed 5 color screen print on 100% archival cotton-blend black paper.
