As Junk Fed explains how with this release he revisits an experiment in phenomenology, perpetuating a meme into infinity. Longtime fans of Shepard Fairey's OBEY Giant will recognize the figure as a mash-up of Fairey’s two signature elements: professional wrestler Andre the Giant (his street art campaign’s original mascot) and They Live (the movie Fairey took his Obey motto from).
For this release Junk Fed has taken the WWE’s Eighth Wonder of the World and turned him into one of the aliens from They Live. Though it may resemble the action figures from your childhood, it features zero points of articulation and may not play well with the rest of your toys! Each figure is individually hand cast, painted, and finished by Junk Fed.
