The First Hellboy Statue by Mondo x Mike Mignola

Red Edition The First Hellboy Statue by Mondo x Mike Mignola

After the huge success of Mondo’s release of “The First Turtle” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vinyl figure, Mondo has made available for pre-order the even more epic The First Hellboy Statue by Mike Mignola!!! In 1991, comic book artist and writer Mike Mignola did a black and white illustration at a comic convention of a demon character that bore the name “Hellboy” on his belt. This was the genesis of the filed-horned fighter of the supernatural known and loved today! Mondo is bringing that original concept to life with a super detailed 12” polystone statue showcasing all of the strange and fun details of Mignola’s original drawing.

Mondo Exclusive Black and White Edition The First Hellboy Statue by Mondo x Mike Mignola

Seriously, how amazing is this release!?! When Mondo said they were going to start producing toys and statues The Blot had high hopes. But all of their releases to date have surpassed even my wildest expectations. The First Hellboy Statue is available in two versions: a Mondo exclusive limited edition black and white illustration-like paint scheme, and a red paint scheme designed by original Hellboy colorist Dave Stewart.

Both versions of The First Hellboy Statue are currently available for pre-order at the Mondo online store. The Red Edition The First Hellboy Statue retails for $200, while the Mondo Exclusive Black and White Edition The First Hellboy is limited to just 200 pieces and retails for $225. Both colorways are expected to ship in late 2015.
