Later today Obey Giant will be releasing Shepard Fairey’s latest screen print entitled “My Florist Is A Dick”. The Blot found it interesting that the Obey Giant Sadistic Florist image is based on the riot uniform of the Washington DC police department. I wonder how Shepard picked that specific uniform for his inspiration. As Fairey explained, “The police are frequently portrayed as ‘peace keepers’ which is why I have the humorous flowers in the image.”
“My Florist Is A Dick” by Shepard Fairey is an 18”x24” signed and numbered screen print. Limited to 450 pieces, this print will go on sale at a random time between 10-11am PDT today, Tuesday, June 23rd, at the Obey Giant online store for $45.
