Acclaimed artist and creator Luke Chueh, known for his parody-laden lowbrow paintings and designer toys, has just launched a new Kickstarter project to produce his next vinyl figure, Dissected! Based on Luke Chueh’s original “Anthropomorphized” painting, Dissected is a 6”x6”x5.5” version of Luke’s iconic bear head with a quarter cut exposed showing a human skull within. The symbolism of this figure is that deep down all of Luke’s anthropomorphized characters are truly human. As a huge fan of Luke’s work, The Blot is beyond excited that this project is taking place!
For this Kickstarter project, Luke Chueh has teamed up with Clutter Magazine, a 10 year veteran of the designer toy world, and Unbox Industries, a skilled and reputable producer of vinyl toys. The OG Dissected, available now through this KS project, will be produced as a fully painted vinyl figure by the factory. While this figure will sell for $80 at retail, supports can secure a figure through this Kickstarter campaign here by pledging just $60 here.
Clutter and Luke Chueh have come up with some awesome rewards for supporters of their Dissected Kickstarter campaign! Along with the original colorway Dissected, fans can purchase a Kickstarter Exclusive Glow in the Dark Unpainted Dissected by pledging $80 or a KS Exclusive Kickstarter Green Everyone Needs A Little Head 2” Resin Decapitated Bear Head by pledging just $25. There are also some amazing stretch goals like prints, Luke original sketches and even a Blood Pool Dissected accessory.
