This Thursday, Dark Hall Mansion will be releasing the next print in its ongoing officially licensed Peanuts Screen Print Series, and it is DHM’s first movie poster for the 1969 full length theatrical Peanuts film, “A Boy Named Charlie Brown.” For such an important release Dark Hall Mansion will be teaming up once again with one of The Blot’s favorite artists, Tom Whalen! As Tom explained on his website, “this is the first full-length Peanuts feature film I’ve worked with. The longer run time (as opposed to the half-hour holiday specials that I created posters for in the past) means there are loads of visuals and scenes to choose from. I’m especially proud of the story-strip at the bottom that chronicles Chuck’s rise and (inevitable) fall.” This is definitely a release not to miss!
A Boy Named Charlie Brown by Tom Whalen is an 18”x24” numbered 8 color Peanuts screen print. The Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 280 pieces and will retail for $65, while the Variant Edition has a limited edition run size of 50 pieces and will retail for $100. DHM is also producing 10 Wood Variants of each version, which will retail for $250. All four versions of this epic Whalen print will go on sale at 9:30am PST this Thursday, March 12th, at the Dark Hall Mansion online store.
