As Daniel Danger explained on Twitter, “in the early days of doing Flatstock I used to do parody posters featuring my artist buddies for fun.” Yesterday, Danger did it again with this amazingly funny “Days of Mondo Past” screen print! Designed as a dumb joke for Mondo and their fans, “Days of Mondo Past” is a parody of John Byrne’s iconic cover to Uncanny X-Men #141 with all of Marvel’s mutants replaced by Mondo’s staff and popular stable of artists. Can you identify all the artists included in Danger’s design!?! It’s a venerable who’s who of the rock poster/art print scene. Here’s hoping we see more of these humorous poster designs from DD in the future.
“Days of Mondo Past” by Daniel Danger is a 24”x36” 7 or 8 color signed and numbered screen print. Available pre-order now at Danger’s online store for $50, this release is a timed edition from now through Sunday, February 1st. The run size will be set based on the number orders placed over the weekend.
