The Rainy Day Antagonist Resin Figure Kickstarter Project by Evilos

The Rainy Day Antagonist Resin Figure Kickstarter Project by Evilos

The super talented artist Evilos has designed his first designer art toy, The Rainy Day Antagonist! This is a character Evilos came up with a very long time ago when rainy weather would cause all sorts of delays to his many custom toy projects. Evilos doesn’t have a traditional indoor studio like many other artists (he works outside), so he has to rely on the great southern California weather to get his work done. The Rainy Day Antagonist personifies the feelings that swell up inside Evilos on those unproductive days.

The Rainy Day Antagonist Do It Yourself Blank White Resin Figure by Evilos

Although the 3D sculpt of The Rainy Day Antagonist has already been created, Evilos needs your help to turn this epic design into a reality! To that end, Evilos has launched The Rainy Day Antagonist Resin Figure Kickstarter project. The KS project has only been live for a few short days, and it’s already 100% funded. Pretty awesome, right!?! That should come as no surprise since Evilos has a growing legion of fans who devour his steady flow of amazing custom figures. Now here’s your chance to get your hands on the very first original Evilos resin figure at a super discounted price!

The Rainy Day Antagonist resin figure stands 4” tall, comes in a blank DIY white colorway, and will be shipped in five pieces for easy customizing. A pledge of just $30 gets you one RDA DIY resin figure, while a pledge of $150 gets you a fully painted RDA resin figure. But that’s not all, there are pledge levels from $5 to $500 with all kinds of really cool rewards. Stretch goals are already in the works, which will unlock Clear and Glow in the Dark Rainy Day Antagonist DIY figures. With 35 days still to go, The Blot can’t wait to see how much Evilos will raise through this exciting Kickstarter project.

“The End of the Aisle”

How I Met Your Mother

This is it, the day The Blot’s been dreading for a very long time. Tonight CBS will be airing the series finale of How I Met Your Mother. How did HIMYM’s 9th season end so quickly!?! Doesn't it feel like the season just started a few weeks ago?

There are only a handful of shows that have consistently played a big role in my life over an extended period of time. I’ve chronicled two of those shows weekly here on TheBlotSays.com since the blog’s inception almost 7 years ago, How I Met Your Mother and LOST, and now both are over. What’s funny is those two shows couldn’t be more polar opposites except for one thing, they’re both populated with such rich and amazing characters. They're both...legendary!

The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale Terminus Television Posters

The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale “Terminus” One Sheet Television Posters - ...Who Will Arrive? - Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Danai Gurira as Michonne & Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes

As much as The Blot loves both the comic book and television versions of The Walking Dead, I stopped watching the TV show last season. I got so far behind after the birth of our twins that the show was literally taking over my DVR. I think we had 25 episodes on the DVR before I finally threw in the white flag and deleted everything. Since then I’ve loosely kept up with who’s lived and who’s died, and I hope to catch back up before the start of Season 5.

The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale “Terminus” One Sheet Television Posters - ...Who Will Survive? - Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon

But because I stopped watching I have no idea what the #Terminus in each of these Season 4 season finale character television posters refers to. I assume it’s leading to something good, but the one thing I’ve learned from following The Walking Dead over the years is it’ll probably lead to a main (and beloved) character’s death. Cross your fingers it won’t be your favorite character(s)!

The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale “Terminus” One Sheet Television Posters - ...Who Will Arrive? - Steven Yeun as Glenn Rhee

The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale “Terminus” One Sheet Television Posters - ...Who Will Survive? - Lauren Cohan as Maggie Greene

The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale “Terminus” One Sheet Television Posters - ...Who Will Arrive? - Chad L. Coleman as Tyreese & Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier

The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale “Terminus” One Sheet Television Posters - ...Who Will Survive? - Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier (with Judith Grimes)

The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale “Terminus” One Sheet Television Posters - ...Who Will Survive? - Emily Kinney as Beth Greene

Who will arrive, and who will survive The Walking Dead Season 4 finale!?! Find out tonight, Sunday, March 30th, when the TWD season finale airs on AMC at 9/8c.

“Kaiju Spiki” T-Shirt by The Phantom Life & Nakanari

The Phantom Life x Mai Hiro “Kaiju Spiki” t-shirt by Nakanari

The Blot was recently introduced to the Japanese indie brand The Phantom Life, and I was instantly drawn to their hip-hop and street art influenced designs! Check out their newest release, the “Kaiju Spiki” t-shirt designed by Nakanari, which features his signature character Spiki. The Phantom Life worked with Nakanari to transform Spiki into a gigantic Ice Kaiju that’s attacking a city while melting in the hot summer heat.

The Phantom Life x Mai Hiro “Kaiju Spiki” t-shirt by Nakanari is currently available in sizes S-XL through The Phantom Life online store for just $20. Get it before the Ice Kaiju Spiki gets you!

Sugar Fueled T-Shirts by Michael Banks

Sugar Fueled Broken Star Logo

The Blot’s been following the works of Florida based artist Sugar Fueled (aka Michael Banks) for a couple of years now. I just love his unique art style that mixes, as Banks explains, “candy filled scenes with broken stars that represent perseverance, bubbles of happiness and paint dripping clouds that symbolize the never ending brainstorm in my mind.” What can I say, Sugar Fueled’s crazy take on pop culture is just plain delicious! And one of these days The Blot’s going to get my hands on an original Sugar Fueled oil painting.

Sugar Fueled T-Shirts by Michael Banks - “Broken Star Logo” & “Ice Cream Castle”

Just this week Michael Banks unveiled a new line of Sugar Fueled t-shirts. First up is the “Broken Star Logo” tee, which features Sugar Fueled’s trademark logo. The Broken Star logo represents perseverance, and will be a Sugar Fueled “basic” design that the artist always keep in stock. The second new Sugar Fueled t-shirt is the new “Ice Cream Castle” in royal blue. This magically sweet shirt is a limited edition design featuring an all too familiar ice cream castle based on the iconic Walt Disney Pictures logo.

After debuting at Emerald City Comicon this weekend, you can now pick up both of these fun t-shirts at the Sugar Fueled online store in mens and womens styles for $30 each.

“NYCC 2010” Green Edition Baby Greasebat Dunny Resin Figure by Chauskoskis

“NYCC 2010” Green Edition Baby Greasebat Dunny Resin Figures by Chauskoskis

As you all know The Blot loves Jeff Lamm’s Greasebat and its many incarnations, so I was blown away to learn Chauskoskis (aka Walter Jacott) had created a new Baby Greasebat Dunny! Boy do these 3” custom resin figures look amazing!!! Walter was the sculptor of the original Real Fighting Greasebat vinyl figure produced by Monster Worship, and he’s used that experience to transformer Kidrobot’s Dunny into the adorable Baby Greasebat you see here. I’m just mad I missed out on the OG Black Baby Greasebat Walter had been teasing on Instagram is already sold out. I had no idea those were already released!

OG Black Baby Greasebat Dunny Resin Figures by Chauskoskis

For the figure’s first painted release Walter took inspiration from the New York Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive Green Greasebat. Featuring a similar green, yellow, white and blue color scheme, the “NYCC 2010” Green Edition Baby Greasebat is now available for purchase at the Chauskoskis online store for $75 each.

Barneyism of the Week - Accidental Curly

“What? Did he take one of your fries?” - Lily

Take one? Take one?
Lily, it would have been one thing if he took one of my fries.
That would have been one thing.

No, Lily, that day Blauman took 4 of my fries!
But that's not even the capper!
Here's the part that still keeps me up at night:
the 4th fry he took…the 4th fry he took…

The 4th fry he took…was an accidental curly!

“You don't take a man's accidental curly.” - Ted

“You take a man's wife before you take his accidental curly.” - Marshall

“If you wanted curly fries so bad, why not just order them in the first place?” - Lily

“Cause that's what you want, all curly fries?” - Ted

“Regular cut with a few accidental curlies - that's what you want.” - Marshall

That's the dream.

“He's right. That is the dream.” - Ted

No! I refuse to look down from the altar
as I say my vowels to the woman of my dreams,
and see that damned, stupid, accidental curly fry stealing Gary Blauman!

Stegoforest & Acorn Warrior Vinyl Figures by Ghost&Flower

The Blot got a really exciting email this week that the very first colorway of the Stegoforest vinyl figure by Ghost&Flower (aka Jesse Narens) has been released! Each figure is 7” long and 4” tall, features two points of articulation (head and front left foot), and includes a 2” long Acorn Warrior sidekick.

The sixth figure in Bif Bang Pow’s Star Trek: The Next Generation “Build-a-Bridge” bobble head set has finally been unveiled and it’s the half-human, half-Betazoid Counselor Deanna Troi, who has the psionic ability to sense emotions. This resin figure stands 7” tall, and features an amazing resemblance to actor Marina Sirtis who played the beloved bridge officer and sometimes love interest of Commander William T. Riker. This figure connects to the other 7 Build-a-Bridge figures to create the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The Star Trek: TNG Counselor Deanna Troi Build-a-Bridge Bobble Head by Bif Bang Pow! is not expected to ship until June 2014, but you can pre-ordered this figure from Entertainment Earth for $19.99 here.

Red Micro Mad’l 3D Print by MAD

The newest colorway in MAD’s popular (and affordable) line of raw Micro Mad’l 3D Prints dropped yesterday, and it’s this beautiful Red Micro Mad’l! Almost all are now sold out, but you can still pick up this new Red Micro Mad’l and the White Micro Mad’l released earlier this month at the MAD Toy Store for just $15 each. Cast & Crew Exclusive Captain America: The Winter Soldier Movie Poster by Paolo Rivera

Cast & Crew Exclusive Captain America The Winter Soldier Theatrical One Sheet Movie Poster by Paolo Rivera

After designing the Cast and Crew Exclusive Captain America: The First Avenger Movie Poster back in 2011, its fitting that Marvel would ask comic book artist Paolo Rivera back to also design the cast and crew exclusive poster for Captain America 2! All of the cast and crew members who worked on Captain America: The Winter Soldier got a copy of this exclusive retro movie poster. I love that Paolo stuck with the retro theme of his original poster, but went with a slightly more modern take. This design gives off a more 1970s vibe, don’t you think!?! Boy would The Blot love to get my hands on a copy of this poster!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to invade US theaters on April 4, 2014.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Final One Sheet Movie Poster

Captain America The Winter Soldier Final US Theatrical One Sheet Movie Poster

What The Blot loves about this final theatrical one sheet movie poster for Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier is how versatile it is! I’ve gotten my hands on three different versions of this poster, the US, UK and Japan editions, and each one is slightly different. The American version is actually my favorite because it’s the only one that shows Captain America with his signature mask.

Captain America The Winter Soldier Final UK Theatrical One Sheet Movie Poster

While all three versions feature Captain America, Black Widow and Nick Fury prominently, it is interesting to note the main difference between the two international posters is they’ve substituted Winter Soldier for The Falcon. I wonder if what the reason for that change was? The Blot would have gone with including them both, but that’s just me!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon and Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce. Captain America 2 storms into theaters on April 4, 2014.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier IMAX Movie Posters

Captain America: The Winter Soldier IMAX Theatrical One Sheet Movie Poster

The last few summers IMAX has really upped its marketing of movies released in its signature Image MAXimum film format by producing some pretty sweet IMAX specific movie posters. They’ve even started giving out exclusive one sheet movie posters at their midnight screenings. IMAX has taken things one step further by releasing an entire set of red and black Captain America: The Winter Soldier character movie posters!

Captain America The Winter Soldier IMAX Character One Sheet Movie Poster Set - Chris Evans as Captain America

Captain America The Winter Soldier IMAX Character One Sheet Movie Poster Set - Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow

While the aesthetic is quite striking, it’s a little disappointing that all IMAX did for marketing campaign was trace the photos of Marvel’s original The Winter Soldier character movie poster set released earlier this year. Where’s the creativity in that one? At least they designed an all new Captain America 2 theatrical one sheet, which is really the coolest poster in the entire set!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Marvel Movie Minimates

Captain America The Winter Soldier Marvel Movie Minimates - “Stealth Uniform” Captain America, Crossbones, “Final Battle” Captain America, Winter Soldier, Batroc the Leaper, Agent Sitwell, Black Widow & The Falcon

Dropping later this month just in time for the world premiere of Captain America 2, Marvel Minimates Series 55 includes four 2 packs: Stealth Uniform Captain America with Crossbones; Final Battle Captain America with Winter Soldier; Black Widow with Agent Sitwell; and Falcon with Batroc the Leaper.

Each Captain America: The Winter Soldier Marvel Movie Minimates Set includes two 2” mini figures featuring 14 points of articulation and a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories. These Captain America 2 Minimates 2 Packs will be available at comic shops and specialty stores later this month, but you can preorder a complete set of all eight mini figures from Entertainment Earth for $29.99 here.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Teaser Character Movie Poster - Emily VanCamp as Agent 13 Sharon Carter

Captain America The Winter Soldier Teaser Character Movie Poster - Emily VanCamp as Agent 13 Sharon Carter

While The Blot’s been waiting for a Captain America: The Winter Soldier character movie poster of Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill, I never saw this one coming of Emily VanCamp as Agent 13 (aka Sharon Carter). But what a pleasant surprise! If you’ve ever read a Captain America comic book then you know Ms. Carter is a pretty important character in the world of Steve Rogers, and with the release of this one sheet movie poster I expect to see VanCamp as Agent 13 in many Marvel films from here on out.

Captain America 2 storms into theaters on April 4, 2014.
