Yesterday at CES, Samsung unveiled a new collaboration with Kidrobot! These two powerhouse companies will be working together to design unique, custom figurines inspired by the power of Samsung Galaxy mobile devices. As Samsung explained in a press release, “An increasingly important platform for self‐expression, mobile technology connects with users through mobile accessories, creative applications, or digital design within the device itself. Capturing Kidrobot’s inspired design on both the Galaxy accessories as well as in the devices themselves, creates multiple new touch points for artistic expression.”
MiWe, the name of KR’s newest DIY vinyl figure, is an acronym for Samsung’s marketing motto “Meaningful Innovation, Wow Experience.” As you can probably tell, MiWe is based on a Fox and fits perfectly with Kidrobot’s line of DIY MunnyWorld animal toys. In conjunction with the unveiling of this new collaboration, Kidrobot and Samsung brought in Scribe, Angry Woebots and Buff Monster to live paint 5 foot tall MiWe vinyl figures for each of the first three days of CES. Man do these customs look awesome!
