In honor of Halloween tomorrow Rampage Toys will be releasing this beautiful Orange and Black Marbled Ugly Unicorn. Not only is it the perfect companion to the Orange and Black Marbled Greasebat Rampage Toys released earlier this month, but it looks awesome! I can only imagine how great these two figures will look displayed together on a collector’s shelf. The marbling effect is fantastic, and just screams Halloween to The Blot. “The Great Pumpkin” Borracho De Los Muertos Resin Figure by Spanky Stokes
This Halloween will mark the rebirth of Spanky Stokes’ popular Borracho De Los Muertos resin figure! And what better way to mark the occasion than with a Halloween themed colorway. “The Great Pumpkin” Borracho De Los Muertos stands 6” tall, was cast in orange resin and features an matte black color rub. Pretty perfect for the Halloween season don’t you think!?! These five rotund dead drunks go on sale at noon PST this Thursday, October 31st, at the Spanky Stokes online store for $40 each.
Wo-Man & the Masters of the Universe Bootleg Resin Figures by BigMan Toys
I can’t lie, even for a toy aficionado as The Blot it is near impossible to keep up with all of the amazing bootleg kitbashed resin action figures and M.U.S.C.L.E. inspired rubber mini figures being produced these days. Take BigMan Toys for instance, who’s been cranking out some really interesting resin figures based on popular ‘80s toy lines and keshi. BigMan Toys newest release is Wo-Man and the Masters of the Universe, which pays homage to the Mattel’s classic MOTU toys.
Wo-Man is a 5.5” resin figure and is as much influenced by He-Man as she is by the Twins of Power characters, Robert Crumb comics, and a worn to nothing VHS tape of Red Sonja! Wo-Man was saved by a mysterious hero in her youth, and from that point forth committed to never again relying on the strength of others. Brandishing her father's modified wood-axe, she roams the planets in search of the warrior who once came to her aid to pledge allegiance to him. Hindering her journey is her evil clone Faye-Kerr, an obvious homage to MOTU’s Faker. Embedded in Wo-Man’s axe is a gem, which when at its apex of power allows her to self-clone bringing forth a brilliant replica of herself to fight alongside her so long as the gem holds power.
Each Wo-Man resin figure features 3 points of articulation, sports a rubber suit of armor and a deadly ax. All three Wo-Man colorways seen here will go up for sale on October 31st at the BigMan Toys online store for $69 each.
Star Trek: TOS Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko
Is there any license Funko doesn’t have these days!?! Last week Funko announced they would be releasing a new line of Pop! vinyl figures based on the legendary television show Star Trek: The Original Series! Star Trek Series 1 includes three members of the Enterprise, Captain James T. Kirk, Spock and Scotty, and three classic Star Trek aliens, a Klingon, an Andorian and an Orion Slave Girl. What a an epic line-up! The Blot’s just hoping we don’t have to wait too long for a second wave of Star Trek: TOS Pop! vinyl figures.
Each Star Trek: The Original Series Pop! TV vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, features one point of articulation and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. These figures aren’t expected to hit store shelves until November 28th, but you can pre-order them now from Entertainment Earth for $9.99 each here.
The Walking Dead “Daryl” Screen Print by Brian Ewing
A couple of weeks ago the Hero Complex Gallery hosted a pretty cool The Walking Dead group art show based on the hit AMC television show (which in turn is based on the hit Image comic book). The show was pretty cool, but the one piece that really stood out was this killer “Daryl” screen print by Brian Ewing! What’s awesome about this print is how perfectly it melds TWD’s most popular biker, Daryl Dixon, with Ewing’s unique art style. I love Brian’s use of his signature skeleton effect and the background collage just screams Daryl!
“Daryl” by Brian Ewing is an 18”x24” The Walking Dead screen print and has a limited edition run size of 75 pieces. Pick one up today from the Hero Complex Gallery’s online store for just $50 each.

ThunderCats Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko
Funko continues to expand its hugely popular line of Pop! vinyl figures with more fan favorite licenses. And The Blot’s jaw hit the ground when I heard Funko would be producing ThunderCats Pop! figures based on the original 1980s cartoon. How awesome is that!?! These Pop! versions of Lion-O, Panthro, Cheetara, Snarf, and the evil Mumm-Ra look absolutely fantastic! This might be my new favorite line of Pop! Television figures.
Each ThunderCats Pop! TV vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, features one point of articulation and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. These figures aren’t expected to hit store shelves until January 2014, but you can pre-order them now from Entertainment Earth for $9.99 each here.
Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz Book Review
The Blot recently got to review the awesome new hardcover art book Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz and it is seriously fantastic! Whether you’re a fan of Star Trek: The Original Series or just love a good movie/TV poster, you will definitely want to check out this beautiful oversized book published by Titan Books. Artist Juan Ortiz, an avid Star Trek fan, took on the challenge of creating a unique retro poster design for each one of the series original 80 episodes. The artwork embodies his passion for the series, the transformational Sixties, and the visceral reaction generated from each episode.
Each Star Trek: The Original Series poster is a little different, with each design embodying a variety of different styles like that of a ‘60s movie poster, comic book, pulp novel cover or advertisement. The common theme is their retro look and love of all things Star Trek: TOS. What’s wonderful about this art book is how Titan utilized every inch of this 14.4”x10.3” oversized book, with each poster taking up an entire page! It really allows the reader to appreciate each and every design.
For a while there it was all the rage on the internet to create fake retro and minimalistic movie posters for TV shows, super heroes and music albums. But Juan Ortiz definitely out did them all with this Star Trek series. It’s especially cool to see these posters become officially licensed. Ortiz didn’t just stop with this TOS poster series though, as he has continue to create all sorts of awesome Star Trek art since these designs have become so popular.
Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz is available now in bookstores everywhere with a suggested retail price of $39.95! If you’re not able to find it at your local book store, you can order one from Amazon for just $26.76 here. It’s definitely worth it!

Kidrobot x Threadless T-Shirt “KR 00” by Matheus Lopes
The winner of last summer’s Threadless x Kidrobot T-Shirt Design Challenge has been announced, and it’s Matheus Lopes for his “KR 00” design! It’s a cool design of the Kidrobot mascot ‘Bot deconstructed, but The Blot feels like I’ve seen this before. I didn’t really follow the KR x Threadless Design Challenge, so I can’t say if there were other designs I think should have been produced instead. But I definitely would have loved to see a full Kidrobot x Threadless T-Shirt Collection.
The Kidrobot x Threadless T-Shirt “KR 00” is currently available for purchase at Threadless.com in mens, womens, toddlers, and kids sizes for $24.50.
Marvel x Threadless Thor T-Shirt Collection
For Threadless’ fifth release of community designed Marvel t-shirts, the Chicago, IL based company has turned its sights on everyone’s favorite Asgardian, Thor! Unfortunately, the Thor T-Shirt Collection might be its weakest release to date. And with only 6 designs it is also Threadless’ smallest Marvel Super Heroes collection. The Mighty Thor deserved so much better! The Blot was hoping to pick one up to wear to a screening of Thor: The Dark World next month, but I’m not even sure there’s a design I’d wear. Here’s hoping Threadless’ upcoming Captain America T-Shirt Collection is a lot better!

The Blot’s never actually seen an episode of The CW’s Supernatural, but I know it’s got a diehard, vocal fan base. Even still, I’m super surprised Funko is actually releasing a line of Supernatural Pop! Television vinyl figures. That’s what so great about this toy line though, they’ll make vinyl figures of pretty much any property! Supernatural fans everywhere will definitely want to get their hands on these 3.75” cute chunky versions of the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, just in time for the season premiere of the show’s 9th season..

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Teaser Movie Poster
Marvel's first official teaser trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was released today along with this awesome teaser one sheet movie poster! As of writing this The Blot hasn’t seen the trailer, but I do love this poster of Chris Evans as Captain America standing inside a SHIELD hellicarrier. This film, which also stars Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon and Emily VanCamp as Agent 13, is going to be so freaking good!
Captain America: The Winter Soldier storms into theaters March 2014.

The Great Pumpkin Vampire Vinyl Figure by Super7
On Halloween night, the Great Pumpkin Vampire rises from his pumpkin patch and flies through the air with his bag of toys to all the children. The Great Pumpkin Vampire, Super7’s newest release, pays tribute to the greatest made for TV animated films of all time, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Micro Greasebat Vinyl Figure by Jeff Lamm
Did you know Jeff Lamm and Monster Worship had produced a Micro Greasebat!?! Neither did The Blot! Evidently this tiny release debuted at New York Comic Con and will be going on sale to the general public at 7pm EST tonight, Tuesday, October 22nd, at the Monster Worship online store for just $10. How cute does this little guy look!?! Yes, The Blot will definitely be snagging one of these little guys. Thanks for the photo Jeff!
Wampa 22” Jumbo Vintage Kenner Star Wars Action Figure by Gentle Giant
Gentle Giant continues its Hoth themed releases of its popular line of Jumbo Vintage Kenner Star Wars action figure reproductions with the seriously massive Wampa! The Blot is seriously shocked Gentle Giant decided to release this in scale version of the Empire Strikes Back monster considering that makes it 22” tall. The only downside of that is they increased the price 500%. How does that math make sense?
Digitally scanned from mint 6” Kenner original action figure, this Jumbo Vintage Kenner Star Wars Wampa is an exact replica of the classic ‘80s toy! Injection molded and made of durable plastics, this jumbo figure features swinging arm action (just like the figure that inspired it) and comes packaged in Empire Strikes Back inspired vintage style packaging featuring original photos and artwork.
The Star Wars 22 inch Jumbo Vintage Kenner Wampa action figure by Gentle Giant is not expected to be released until summer 2014, but it can be pre-ordered through Entertainment Earth for $399.00 here.

Les Viandardes Vinyl Figure by McBess
Following the release of the Kidrobot x McBess Apparel Collection comes McBess’ epic Les Viandardes vinyl figure! McBess’ detailed illustrations are cleverly blended with the cartoon styling of the early 20th century and often feature food and musical references, such as slick guitars, drums, amps, and other instruments. While The Blot doesn’t know much about the Les Viandardes designer art toy, these axe welding, tattoo sporting femme fatales look bad ass! This is definitely a new kind of vinyl figure from Kidrobot and a welcomed change to be sure! I just hope for the price ($199.99) this is at least an 8" figure. Look for McBess’ Les Viandardes to go on sale next Thursday, October 31st, at Kidrobot.com and all Kidrobot retail locations.

Alex Pardee x Retroband Bunnywith Bootleg Resin Action Figure
Last weekend Alex Pardee’s Bunnywith solo art show opened at Gallery 1988. While there were tons of awesome Bunnywith prints, The Blot’s personal favorite piece in the show was this Bunnywith collaboration with Retroband. The two artists teamed up to produce a bootleg resin Bunnywith action figure packaged in a retro Kenner Star Wars style blister card! The packaging is pretty sick if I do say so myself. Limited to just 20 pieces, the Alex Pardee x Retroband Bunnywith bootleg action figure comes signed and numbered by Alex and can be purchased from the Gallery 1988 online store for $150 each.

Breaking Bad “Final GID Blue” Heisenberg M.U.S.C.L.E. Resin Mini Figure by Healeymade
After originally debuting at New York Comic Con 2013, the third and final colorway of Healeymade’s extremely popular Heisenberg Breaking Bad M.U.S.C.L.E. resin mini figure dropped last weekend at the Healeymade online store! Sadly it sold out almost immediately upon release. Cast in beautiful glow in the dark blue resin, the “Final GID Blue” Heisenberg is a 1.5” kitbashed resin M.U.S.C.L.E. man based on Breaking Bad’s Walter White’s alter ego, the meth kingpin Heisenberg. He is the one who knocks!

McBess x Kidrobot T-Shirt Collection
Kidrobot has teamed up with artist French artist McBess (Mathieu Bessudo) to release a pretty awesome McBess Apparel Capsule, which includes t-shirts, jackets, a button down long sleeve shirt and snapback hats. From the Pirate Bomber to the statement rock and roll tees, each piece is pure McBess! Of course The Blot is especially jazzed over the three McBess tees, including the killer ‘Bot tee in McBess’ signature style and the Les Viandardes tee featuring his murderous femme fatales.
The McBess x Kidrobot Apparel Capsule merges the sick vintage cartoon styling of internationally renowned illustrator McBess into a limited batch of deluxe ring spun super soft tees, premium quality cut and sew shirts and jackets, and New Era hats that bring McBess’ dark and dreamy surrealist world to life. The three McBess t-shirts seen here ($30) and so much more are available through the Kidrobot online store now!
Johnny Cupcakes x Ghostbusters “Peter Venkman Big Kid” T-Shirt
Every Halloween Johnny Cupcakes’ mascot Big Kid dresses up as his favorite movies characters. While he typically goes the horror route, this year he’s decided to pay tribute to one of the greatest ‘80s movies of all time…Ghostbusters! Who knew with the addition of a Ghostbusters jumpsuit and a little slime Big Kid would look like the spitting image of Bill Murray’s Peter Venkman!?! It’s all about the hair! This is one Johnny Cupcakes design you won’t want to miss out on. Sadly it’s an in store exclusive, meaning you can only snag this t-shirt at one of Johnny Cupcakes 5 retail locations. The Nightmare Before Christmas 20th Anniversary Screen Print by Jeff Soto
When Huckleberry announced they were working with Disney’s El Capitan Theater to release a 20th Anniversary screen print for Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas they had me at two words…Jeff Soto! Yes, freaking Jeff Soto designed a NBX print and it is so freaking glorious! Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas actually made its world debut at the famed theater on October 15, 1993, so it’s only fitting the film would celebrate its 20th anniversary there.
This awesome print is currently available for pre-sale at the El Capitan Theater’s box office and by phone. With each purchase of the screen print, the purchaser will also receive one general admission ticket to the film’s screening in 4D at a time of their choice on October 31, 2013 at the El Capitan Theater. Unfortunately, it sounds like the print is only available for pick up in person and shipping is not available.
The Nightmare Before Christmas 20th Anniversary screen print by Jeff Soto measures 18”x24” and is available in two limited editions. The blue Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 300 pieces and retails for $60, while the purple Variant is limited to 125 pieces and retails for $75.
