Mondo is releasing two screen prints today based on the films of Guillermo del Toro, Cronos and The Devil’s Backbone. This alone would be pretty exciting news, but what makes today’s releases extra special are the artists behind them! Cronos was designed by legendary comic book artist and the creator of Hellboy, Mike Mignola (with color separations made by multiple Eisner award-winning colorist David Stewart)!!! The Devil’s Backbone features artwork by renowned comic illustrator Guy Davis in a beautiful 9 color screenprint. If Guy’s work looks familiar it’s because of his long history working in Mignola’ Hellboy universe at Dark Horse Comics.
Cronos by Mike Mignola is an 18"x24" hand numbered screen print. It has a limited edition run size of 185 pieces and will retail for $45. The Devil’s Backbone by Guy Davis is an 18"x24" hand numbered screen print. It has a limited edition run size of 210 pieces and will retail for $45. Both prints go on sale at a random time today, Wednesday, July 31st, at the Mondo online store.
