Later today Mondo will be releasing its first ever screen print for a comic book, The Black Beetle by Francesco Francavilla! How freaking cool is that!?! The Blot’s got a feeling this one’s going to be an excellent answer to a trivia question. The Black Beetle is a crime-fighting, pulp noir hero created, written and illustrated by Francesco Francavilla for Dark Horse Comics. It’s an excellent comic book, and if you’ve never read it before you should definitely pick up some issues and/or trades.
The Black Beetle by Francesco Francavilla is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Standard Edition of the poster, originally offered at Francesco's HeroesCon booth last weekend, is an 11 color screen print with a limited edition run size of 225 pieces and will retail for $55, while the Variant features 12 colors, has a limited edition run size of 110 pieces and will retail for $75. Both prints go on sale today, Tuesday, June 11th, at the Mondo online store.
