After almost 9 months Disney is finally bringing back its popular Star Wars Vinylmation Series!!! Series 3 is based entirely on Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, and is surprisingly missing some pretty big names from the Star Wars universe like Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2. But if you’re a fan of aliens this is the series for you. Star Wars Vinylmation Series 3 will be a limited edition release sold blind box style beginning on May 17, 2013 for $12.95 each.
Star Wars Vinylmation Series 3 includes Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Admiral Ackbar, Lando Calrissian in Skiff Guard Disguise, Princess Leia as the bounty hunter Boushh, a Gamorrean Guard, Nien Nunb, the Emperor’s Royal Guard, Ewok Logray, an Imperial Biker Scout, Ewok Wicket and Bib Fortuna. This series has one variant, a maskless Princess Leia as Boushh, and one super rare chaser, the evil Emperor Palpatine.
While Series 3 looks good, what The Blot is really excited about is the window boxed Han Solo in Carbonite 3” Vinylmation figure! Any figure of Han in Carbonite is always a huge fan favorite, so you can only imagine how quickly these awesome figures will fly off store shelves. The Han Solo in Carbonite 3” Star Wars Vinylmation figure has a limited edition run size of 2,000 figures and will retail for $32.95 beginning on June 7, 2013.
But that’s not all! Series 3 also includes Disney’s very first 9” Star Wars Vinylmation figure. The Jabba the Hutt 9” Star Wars Vinylmation figure includes a 1.5” Salacious B. Crumb Vinylmation figure, has a limited edition run size of 1,000 figures and retails for $59.95. This awesome 2 figure set go on sale May 24, 2013.
