DC Comics has teamed up with Mattel to bring back the classic 1966 Batman live action television series in a big way! Mattel already has two different waves of action figures based on the beloved TV series, which has all of the campy, retro coolness of the original CBS series. The Batman 1966 Television Series toy line includes Adam West’s Batman, Cesar Romero’s The Joker, Burgess Meredith’s The Penguin, Julie Newmar’s Catwoman, and Frank Gorshin’s The Riddler. It even includes a “Surf’s Up” Batman, which features Batman in a yellow swimsuit and matching Bat-surfboard. All this toy line needs is Burt Ward’s Robin and Yvonne Craig’s Batgirl and it’d be seriously perfect!
The Batman 1966 TV Series Toy Line features six 6” action figures based on the popular old school television show, each individually packaged in a blister card. These figures aren’t expected to ship until August 2013, but you can pre-order all six figures from Entertainment Earth for $17.99 each.
