The Blot was starting to worry that McFarlane Toys wasn’t going to be continuing its line of comic book inspired The Walking Dead action figures. I know, I know, everything The Walking Dead sells so what was I thinking!?! But after 3 waves of toys based on the hit AMC television show, we still hadn’t gotten a second series of comic book themed figures. That all changes later this month with The Walking Dead Comic Book Series 2 finally hits store shelves!
Series 2 includes The Governor, “Prison” Glenn in Riot Gear, Penny and Michonne’s Pet Zombie. While I wish we’d gotten a standard Glenn in his trademark baseball cap, this is still a pretty sick wave. Let’s be honest, comic book Governor is sooo much better than TV Governor, and who doesn’t want a Penny zombie action figure!?! OK, I don’t because she’s pretty freaking creepy!
Each The Walking Dead Comic Book Series 2 action figure stands 4” to 4.5” tall, includes tons of accessories and comes packaged on a blister card. While TWD Comic Book Series 2 is not in stores yet, you can pre-order these figures from Entertainment Earth individually for $14.99 and as a complete Series 3 set for $54.99 here.
