Man, kaNO’s been dropping some seriously ill pop culture pieces lately! My jaw literally dropped when I first saw “Ghetto Blaster” show up in kaNO’s Instagram timeline. Inspired by Transformers Generation 1, kaNO goes old school in this New York Comic-Con 2012 exclusive print featuring Autobot Blaster and Decepticon Laserbeak. I always love seeing kaNO reinterpret classic super heroes and Transformers using his unique art style. Add in his trademark ghetto vibe to “Ghetto Blaster” and you’ve got an instant classic on your hands! It doesn’t hurt that Blaster was my favorite G1 Transformers, and I’ve still got the original tape playing action figure hidden somewhere at my parents’ house.
The New York Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive “Ghetto Blaster” Transformers print by kaNO will be available for purchase at Art Whino’s NYCC booth #3203. Any remaining prints will be available for purchase through Art Whino’s online store after the convention.
