Headspace Paintings Series by Luke Chueh

Moniker Art Fair Banner - Headspace Paintings Series by Luke Chueh

Luke Chueh flew out to London this week to participate in this year’s Moniker Art Fair. While there, Luke will be unveiling the first part of his Headspace Series, which is a collection of paintings that explore the things that Luke considers an undeniable part of his identity. For this series Luke is using the same basic painting of a person in a bear costume taking off its mask to unveil a different character underneath.

Luke joking talked about his new Headspace Series on Instagram joking “How many times can I do the same painting? Asides for these 13, some people might argue that I've been doing it for 9 years.” The Blot definitely wouldn’t be one of those people! What I love most about this series is seeing all of the wonder pop culture references that have influenced Luke over the years. Many of which are the same that have made all of us who we are. Of course the Headspace painting that I relate to the most is Luke’s Boba Fett painting…I’m more than a little obsessed with Star Wars’ most famous bounty hunter.  Whoever purchases that amazing painting better let me come over and see it!
