It always amazes The Blot when a non-traditional comic book property becomes not just popular, but an intricate part of the country’s pop culture! No property personifies that better than The Walking Dead. Even if you’ve never read a comic or seen the show, you know what The Walking Dead is. Its trade paperbacks dominate the book charts and its television show is steadily becoming appointment television for a large portion of the United States. If The Walking Dead’s ratings trend continues, the third season is going to be a monster hit breaking all kinds of cable ratings. AMC and Robert Kirkman have to be thrilled to say the least!
It seems like everyone’s got zombie fever these days, and The Walking Dead Season 3 is set to tell the comic book series’ most popular (and legendary) story. That’s a recipe for some huge success! I just hope the television show can do the storyline justice considering its extremely adult content. I guess we’ll all find out come October!
