Earlier this summer Disney unveiled their newest Vinylmation platform, the Popcorns Series! Named the Popcorns Series because each figure comes packaged in a full color window box that looks like a traditional movie theater popcorn box, at 5” tall these figures are a great mid-sized platform from the House of Mouse. The Blot really loves the distorted look and feel of the Popcorns figures, and I like how different they are from the traditional Vinylmation platform (while still clearly being based on Mickey Mouse).
The first Vinylmation Popcorns release is this monotone Pie-Eyed Mickey Mouse vinyl figure, a variant from the full colored Pie-Eyed Mickey Mouse that will be included in Popcorns Series 1. It features 2 points of articulation (at the arms), has a limited edition run size of 5,000 pieces and can be purchased exclusively at Disney’s theme parks and the Disney online store for $24.95.
