In celebration of Kidrobot’s 10th Anniversary, KR is releasing five Kidrobot X: 10 Years of Art + Design t-shirts designed by three people extremely influential to the history of KR: Paul Budnitz, Tristan Eaton and Frank Kozik. Paul Budnitz’ t-shirt features a Dunny head sketch on loose leaf paper, while Kozik’s t-shirt features his signature Dunny design cutting into a KR’s birthday cake. Tristan’s t-shirts feature the three Kidrobot X logos he designed that are also being used on the packaging of the Kidrobot X vinyl figures. All five designs come printed on black t-shirts, which matches Kidrobot X’s color scheme of gold, black and white.
All in all The Blot likes this t-shirt collection, but I was hoping for a little bit more. Clearly these three individuals have had a huge impact on Kidrobot being that they created the company’s three signature characters: Dunny, Munny and Labbit. There are a number of other artists that been hugely influential in Kidrobot’s 10 years and I would have loved to see their involvement in the celebration. I guess that’s what the custom pieces at the Kidrobot X: 10 Years of Art + Design show are for? Regardless, I love Tristan’s logos and designs, and think these make an excellent addition to the KR X collection. I just wish they came in white as well!
