Capcom must be doing something right, because Street Fighter is all the rage again! It seems like everyone wants to team up with these world warriors. I know the franchise has always been one of the video game world’s favorites, but it feels like the property has finally regained its prominence within American pop culture and beyond. Just take this new line of Street Fighter x Sanrio t-shirts released in conjunction with their new line of plush figures.
The Street Fighter x Sanrio T-Shirt Collection features Sanrio’s popular characters, including Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru and My Melody, dressed as the international fighters from Street Fighter II. It’s a simple concept that juxtaposes the cuteness of Sanrio’s characters with rough and deadly looks of some of Street Fighter’s most popular warriors. While The Blot’s not really a fan of Sanrio, it works really well!
