After a very long hiatus, the Battle Beasts are back! The Blot was a huge fan of Hasbro’s Battle Beasts mini figures from the late ‘80s, so you know I'm super excited for the return of this toy line. This time around Battle Beasts are really just animal Minimates, but ‘80s nostalgia is still in full effect with this release. And while the first series of Battle Beasts Minimates won't be out until this fall, Diamond Select Toys is offering fans a preview set that's only available at San Diego Comic-Con 2012!
The San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Battle Beasts Minimates includes two fully painted figures: the heroic ram Vorin (star of the upcoming comic book series from IDW), and an all-new villainous dragonfly character, Zik! Collectors can pick up this Battle Beasts 2 Pack at Diamond Comic Distributors’ SDCC booth #2401 and Diamond Select Toys’ SDCC booth #2607.
