Has it really been almost three and a half years since comedian Paul Scheer unveiled the Damon, Carlton and a Polar Bear website at San Diego Comic-Con 2009 while The Blot was in attendance at the last official LOST panel? DCaaPB ended up being a front for a new LOST alternate reality game (or ARG) that Jensen Karp and Gallery1988 had created to launch a new series of LOST screen prints and a corresponding LOST group art show. The Blot got heavily involved in those poster scavenger hunts and met some amazing people from around the globe in the process. Can lightening really strike twice?
Well, Scheer, Karp and G1988 are at it once again with an all new ARG centered around AMC’s hit television show Breaking Bad (another of The Blot’s favorite shows). The ARG and its corresponding website have been entitled “Breaking Gifs,” which is a mix of Breaking Bad and animated gifs. Why? I have no idea. At this point all we definitely know is Gallery 1988 is involved and it is an official Breaking Bad art project. The rest we’ll find out along the way! Are you ready to go along for the ride? Official Announcement: To celebrate and honor the fifth and final season of Breaking Bad, 16 of the top artists and graphic designers have been commissioned to create screenprints depicting some of the series' most memorable scenes, characters and shocking moments. These screenprints are hand-pulled, each its own individual work of art, in an edition of just 300, with only 200 available to the public through this project. Once the edition is sold out, they will never be printed again.
