Johnny Cupcakes x Bicycle Playing Cards Collection

Johnny Cupcakes x Bicycle Playing Cards Collection

While most of the t-shirts in the Johnny Cupcakes x Bicycle Playing Cards Collection are already sold out, they are way too cool to ignore. It’s just too bad most were already gone before The Blot even knew they had gone on sale! The Johnny Cupcakes x Bicycle Playing Cards Collection includes four t-shirt designs (the Ace of Spades, the King of Diamonds, the Queen of Hearts and the Jack of Clubs) and an official deck of Johnny Cupcakes Bicycle playing cards. How cool is that!?!

The JC x Bicycle playing cards are still available and retail for $7.99. And as I mentioned above, all of the guys t-shirts in the Johnny Cupcakes x Bicycle Playing Cards Collection are currently sold out, but a few select sizes of girls shirts remain. Pick one up at the Johnny Cupcakes online store for $49.99.

Super Powers Screen Print by Tom Whalen

Sideshow Collectibles x Mondo Super Powers Screen Print by Tom Whalen

The Blot was in shock when I found out about this amazing screen print yesterday. I could not believe it took this long for me to find out about a freaking DC Comics Super Powers print! Kenner’s Super Powers Collection is my all time favorite toy line and it has now been immortalized as a killer print by the talented Tom Whalen. Evidently this print was originally released at Sideshow Collectibles’ San Diego Comic-Con 2011 party to coincide with their recently revealed DC license.

As a fellow lifelong comic book collector, Whalen took great care in making this print true to the classic 1980’s toy line and it shows. He even made to sure to include all 35 heroes and villains from the Super Powers Collection, including the two mail-away figures (The Riddler and Clark Kent). Seeing so many of my favorite DC Universe characters produced in Whalen’s signature style is a real treat! While I’m not the biggest Firestorm fan, his design really shines in Whalen’s two-tone aesthetic.

"Super Powers" by Tom Whalen is a 36”x24” 6 color screen print and was produced by Mondo. It has a limited edition run size of 250 pieces and can be purchased from the Sideshow Collectibles online store for $99.99 each.

Upchuck Resin Figure by Erick Scarecrow

ESC Toy - Upchuck Resin Figure by Erick Scarecrow

Erick Scarecrow’s all new Upchuck resin figure is a very special release, as it marks the 100th ESC Toy release! Can you believe it!?! Erick sure has been one busy guy since his very first release, the Liberty vinyl figure. Upchuck is one sick clown who is literally throwing up little dolls. If you don’t believe The Blot, just click on the image above to get a better look at that crazy looking vomit! Upchuck has a limited edition run size of 15 pieces, and will be available for pre-order beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, August 31st, at 12pm EDT at the ESC online store.

Threadless The Legend of Zelda T-Shirt “URL Link”

I have to admit, The Blot totally skipped over this Threadless design when it first came out last week. I saw it, but at the time I thought it was just another video game inspired t-shirt. I’m a huge old school Nintendo fan, but it’s gotten to the point where there are very few new ideas out there. Then I just happened to take a closer look at the design yesterday and realized how truly wrong I was! The image on Threadless’ website really doesn’t do the design justice as it’s kinda hard to see, but basically “URL LINK” is Link from the Legend of Zelda made up from a website URL. I can’t believe it hasn’t been done before, because this design is genius!

URL LINK by Esteban Ruiz

Threadless The Legend of Zelda T-Shirt “URL Link”

The Legend of Zelda t-shirt “URL LINK” comes printed on a navy t-shirt and is available at Threadless.com for $20. The shirt comes in both guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.

Doctor Who Season 6, Part II One Sheet Television Poster

Doctor Who Season 6, Part II One Sheet Television Poster

The Blot’s been meaning to post this sweet looking one sheet television poster for Doctor Who Season 6, Part II for weeks, and if it didn’t happen today it was never going to happen at all. Why? Because this Saturday, August 27th, Doctor Who returns with all new episodes and The Blot can’t wait!!! I have to admit, I was not the biggest fan of Matt Smith’s Doctor at first. Season 5 didn’t really do it for me, and I waited a very long time to finally sit down and watch Season 6, Part I. But when I did just a few weeks ago, wow! It was truly excellent.

I think the show’s new creative team just needed a warm up season, because those first seven episodes were just nuts! I think it also helped that Alex Kingston’s River Song played such a significant role in Season 6. The Blot’s loved her ever since her days on ER as Dr. Elizabeth Corday and she's been fantastic as the mysterious River. I highly recommend tuning in to BBC America tomorrow night for the US premier of the Doctor Who episode "Let's Kill Hitler" (and every Saturday night thereafter) at 9/8c for a great sci-fi adventure!

Star Trek: The Motion Picture Screen Print by Daniel Danger

Star Trek: The Motion Picture Screen Print by Daniel Danger.jpg

Mondo continues its Star Trek Screen Print Series with this awesome Star Trek: The Motion Picture poster by Daniel Danger. The poster features the crew looking on in awe at the power of V'Ger. While there have been some really beautiful pieces in this series, Danger’s Star Trek I screen print takes the cake. In fact, this might be The Blot’s favorite Daniel Danger print ever! I just think the scene with its bright blue coloring really fits Danger’s dark and brooding style to a T. He really knocked this one out of the park!

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive Star Trek The Motion Picture Art Print Variant Screen Print by Daniel Danger.jpg

Star Trek: The Motion Picture by Daniel Danger is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print with a limited edition run size of 320 pieces. It will go on sale at a random time today, Friday, August 26th, at the Mondo online store for $45. Mondo also has a limited number of Danger’s San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive Star Trek: The Motion Picture Variant, which is an art print of movie poster. It measures 24”x36”, has a run size of 165 pieces and will retail for $75.

Threadless “Pop Culture” Soda Can T-Shirt

This newest pop culture inspired design by Threadless definitely puts the “pop” in soda pop! As you can tell, "Pop Culture" takes the minimalistic design craze that is sweeping the nation and applies it to coke cans (or beer cans depending on your preference). Each minimalistic designed can represents a key figure in pop culture. I would have liked this t-shirt a whole lot more if I hadn’t seen a million different versions of it over the past 6 months, but that’s also probably why the shirt got printed in the first place. They’re all fairly easy to identify, except maybe the first two. Although once you read who they are you’ll see it right away.

Pop Culture by David Schwen

Threadless “Pop Culture” Soda Can T-shirt by David Schwen

The cans are designed for the following pop icons: Bart Simpson, Super Mario, Pac-Man, R2-D2, Superman, a Pokemon Pokeball, Mickey Mouse, Cookie Monster and Charlie Brown. The ThreadlessPop Culture” Soda Can T-Shirt comes printed on a asphalt t-shirt and is currently available at Threadless.com for $20. The shirt comes in both guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.

Ornery & Bloodshot Panda Shinsengumi Custom 8” Dunny by Huck Gee

Ornery & Bloodshot Panda Shinsengumi Custom 8” Dunny by Huck Gee

There was such an incredible response to last week’s response of the OG Ornery Panda Shinsengumi Custom 8” Dunny and Huck Gee had to turn away so many people in the process, that Huck decided to offer an alternate version, the Ornery & Bloodshot Panda Shinsengumi! This custom is awesome, and I have to assume the popularity of Shinsengumi has to have something to do with Huck’s recently announced Gold Life 3” Dunny blind box series from Kidrobot. Again limited to 10 figures, Ornery & Bloodshot Panda Shinsengumi comes with all of the same accessories as the original colorway, plus a sake bottle of "courage" and those telltale bloodshot eyes.

Ornery & Bloodshot Panda Shinsengumi Custom 8” Dunny by Huck Gee

At one time renowned as a talented sword master, Shinsengumi was an early member of the elite, albeit troubled, peace keeping squad. Dodging several assassination attempts and losing many close ones to the deadly political turmoil of the capital, his troubled soul eventually got the better of him. Losing himself in drink, Shinsengumi became most well known as a gambler, a womanizer, and a drunk. Short on words, the golden sheen of his eyes found blurred by sake more often than not, this is Abiru: Ornery Panda Shinsengumi.

Each Shinsengumi custom figure comes signed and numbered by the artist, and retails for $750. Anyone interested in these amazing customs should email sales@huckgee.com ASAP to reserve your figure and make payment arrangements.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 Variant Cover by Sam Kieth

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Issue #1 Variant Cover by Sam Kieth

Did you know IDW was launching a brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series today? Neither did The Blot! Talk about someone at IDW not doing their job (there’s not even a mention of the new series on their homepage). This is exciting news because it marks the first TMNT comic book series since Mirage sold its rights to the franchise to Nickelodeon. But what this ownership change means for the comic book series is anyone’s guess. The original Mirage series is one of my all time favorite comic book series and the TMNT franchise played a huge role in my childhood. Because of this, I’m always down to give a new TMNT release a shot whether it be a new toy line, comics, an animated series or a movie.

While I really don’t know much about this new comic book series, what has me really excited for its release today is issue #1’s beautiful variant cover by Sam Kieth! I absolutely love Kieth’s artwork, and this cover does a great job showcasing all aspects of his unique style, including its humorous side. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 variant cover by Sam Kieth is an incentive copy, which means for every 25 books a store purchases the retailer receives one copy of the issue with the Kieth cover (so good luck getting your hands on one!).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles issue #1 hits stands today, Wednesday, August 24th. This 32 page full color book was co-written by TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz, features artwork by Dan Duncan, and will retail for $3.99.

Hawkman DC Universe Pop! Heroes Vinyl Figure by Funko

DC Universe Pop! Heroes Wave 3 by Funko - Hawkman Vinyl Figure

There have been some questions as to whether or not Hawkman would actually be included in Funko’s DC Universe Pop! Heroes Wave 3. While he was originally solicited as part of Wave 3, when the final images of the figures were released he was nowhere to be found. Some speculated he might be a San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive, but there was no sign of him there either. Thankfully the mystery of Hawkman has not been reviled! The Hawkman Pop! Heroes vinyl figure will be released along with the rest of Wave 3 in August 2011.

It turns out they probably just didn’t have the final image of the Hawkman Pop! Heroes vinyl figure ready when they released the rest of Wave 3’s images last month. But it was definitely worth the wait! Just look at how awesome those wings look, and I love his little mace accessory.

The Hawkman DC Universe Pop! Heroes vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, has a rotating head and comes in a displayable window box. This figure can now be pre-ordered from EntertainmentEarth.com here for $9.99.

The Muppets Show Theme Song Music Video by Ok Go

Ok Go does it again with a sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational music video for its cover of Jim Henson’s "The Muppets Show Theme Song". I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, as long as Ok Go continues to make music videos all other performs should get out of the game. Is there anyone else out there that consistently makes entertaining music videos that are actually worth watching? Now I have to be honest, “The Muppets Show Theme Song” is not on the top of my list of favorite Ok Go videos, but it does have one really redeeming quality…it features a ton of The Blot’s favorite Muppets! So go watch it, like now!

For those of you wondering why this cover song was produced, it’s part of a new compilation album entitled appropriately enough Muppets: The Green Album, which includes 12 new versions of classic Muppets songs performed by contemporary rock and alternative artists. Conceptually, this album is right up my alley, and while I haven’t listened to the whole album yet I do like the few songs I’ve heard so far! It includes covers by Ok Go, Weezer, My Morning Jacket, The Fray, Alkaline Trio and Andrew Bird. Muppets: The Green Album is out now and can be downloaded from Amazon here for just $7.99!

Unpainted Black Doji San & Death Sludgie Vinyl Figures by LASH

Mutant Vinyl Hardcore - Unpainted Black Doji San & Death Sludgie Vinyl Figures by LASH

I know a lot of fans were super excited when they found out LASH of Mutant Vinyl Hardcore would be producing his two new vinyl figures, Doji San and Death Sludgie, in unpainted black for their very first release! Not only that, but he’s made his first vinyl Doji San and Death Sludgie super easy to get by selling them as an open edition pre-order. This means the edition size will not be set until the pre-order time period is closed. Collectors can even order multiple figures!

Mutant Vinyl Hardcore - Unpainted Death Sludgie Vinyl Figure Back by LASH

While both figures are sick, The Blot especially loves LASH’s Death Sludgie! The detailing on this figure is nuts and I love what he did with the skulls on Death Sludgie’s back. Just look at the photo of Death Sludgie’s back above.

The Unpainted Black Doji San and Death Sludgie are currently available for pre-order at the MVH online store. Doji San retails for $70, while Death Sludgie retails for $85. These will be available for purchase for the next month, but why wait on two sick Japanese vinyl figures like these two!

Mermadi Resin Figure by Erick Scarecrow

ESC Toy - Mermadi Resin Figure 2 Piece Set by Erick Scarecrow

Made especially for all the mermaid fans out there, Mermadi is Erick Scarecrow’s unique take on the classic mythological creature! The Blot’s really digging this 6.25" hand painted resin figure from ESC Toy and I especially love its “accessory,” a 4" splash of water. Doesn’t the resin splash of water look incredibly life like!?! This 2 piece set has a limited edition run size of only 20 pieces, but as of my writing this there’s only 1 figure still available! So head over to the ESC Toy online store now to pick up the last Mermadi resin figure. Each Mermadi comes hand signed, numbered and packaged by the artist, and retails for $150.

Tenacious Toys Exclusive Fire & Ice Tint Gread Resin Figures by LYS0L

Tenacious Toys Exclusive Fire and Ice Gread Red & Blue Resin Figures by LYS0L.jpg

If you follow The Blot on Twitter then you already know about this exciting release from Tenacious Toys! TT has reteamed with Dead Hand Toys for not one, but two new exclusive colorways of Lysol’s popular character Gread. Dubbed Fire and Ice, these red and blue tinted resin figures really show off the amazing things an artist can do with resin as a medium. The only aspect of these figures that are actually painted are the eyes, the rest of the color comes from the tinted resin itself! Don’t the colors of these two just pop?

Each handcrafted, hand painted Tenacious Toys Exclusive Fire and Ice Tint Gread resin figure comes bagged with a header card and retails for just $15! Lysol’s newest bog monsters go on sale this Wednesday, August 24th, at 6pm EDT in the Tenacious Toys online store exclusives section. The question is, can you get just one?

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Trailer & Teaser Movie Poster

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Theatrical One Sheet Teaser Movie Poster

Sony has made the film absolutely no one was asking for, a Ghost Rider sequel! Who in their right mind green lit this film? A reboot/relaunch I can understand, but a sequel starring Nic Cage? Horrible! Then again, I can also understand their blind desire to get a second Marvel Comics franchise off the ground. But wouldn’t they have been much better off with a soft reboot than an official sequel?

It’s not all negative though. The first official trailer for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is actually pretty good (well all except the last few seconds). I love Ghost Rider’s new look, and the action scenes look great. It’s just too bad they had bring back Cage as Johnny Blaze. And why in the hell is there a scene of Ghost Rider peeing fire? That’s just bizarre.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance blazes into theaters on February 17, 2012.

Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Figure Bobble Heads Series 2 by Funko

Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Bobble Heads Wave 2 - Jedi Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, C-3PO & Gamorrean Guard

It’s official, Funko will be continuing its line of collectible Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Figure Bobble Heads! Wave 1 seemed pretty popular with fans, and I’ve got a feeling Wave 2 will be even more so with a diverse line-up that spans all three films of the original trilogy. Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Figure Bobble Heads Series 2 includes Jedi Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, Boba Fett, Darth Maul and a Gamorrean Guard.

While The Blot loves Funko’s Pop! toy line, I still wish some of the waves weren’t bobble heads. I’m sure it’s a licensing issue, but I’d prefer 1 point of articulation instead. Either that, or maybe make them with removable stands. Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Figure Bobble Heads Series 2 won’t hit store shelves until November 2011, but you can pre-order all six figures from Entertainment Earth here for $9.99 each.

This is the first large scale vinyl figure from MINDstyle’s new NBA All Star collection, and The Blot is pretty sure we’ll be seeing more of these very soon. Collectors can pick up one of these massive Kobe figures from the PickYourShoes.com online store for $299.99.

X-Men 1st Class Marvel Minimates Box Set

X-Men 1st Class Marvel Minimates Box Set - Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Iceman, Cyclops & Angel

To capitalize off of the success of FOX’s hit film X-Men: First Class, Diamond Select will be releasing an all new Marvel Minimates box set featuring Professor Xavier’s original first class of mutant students from the X-Men comic books this September! I’m a little surprised Diamond’s releasing this set since they just released a series of Minimates based on the movie characters with basically the same name (seen here). You’d think there’d be some major confusion since there’s not much difference between the titles “X-Men 1st Class” and “X-Men: First Class.” The Blot also finds it kind of funny that the only original X-Man to actually show up in X-Men: First Class (Beast), was left out of the X-Men 1st Class box set.

This specialty market exclusive box set features four of Xavier’s first X-Men in their original blue and yellow outfits, including Cyclops, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Angel and Iceman. Each Minimate stands 2.5" tall with 14 points of articulation and a variety of removable and interchangeable parts and accessories. The X-Men 1st Class Minimates box will retail for around $18 and comes packaged in a full color window box.

Swamp Thing Screen Print by Florian Bertmer

Mondo - Swamp Thing Standard Edition Green Screen Print by Florian Bertmer

Mondo continues its Wes Craven Director Series with this beautiful Swamp Thing movie poster by Florian Bertmer. As a huge DC Comics fan I know I am a little biased, but in The Blot’s humble opinion this is the BEST screen print Mondo has released in at least the past year. And that’s saying a lot! Bertmer absolutely killed it with all of the amazing detailing he included in this piece, and I love how he centered the image around this single red flower blossoming out of a vial, symbolizing Alec Holland’s chemically induced rebirth as Swamp Thing. If I thought we had a place to hang this beautiful print, I would already be F5’ing as you read this.

Mondo - Swamp Thing Glow in the Dark Metallic Ink Variant Screen Print by Florian Bertmer

Swamp Thing by Florian Bertmer is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Standard Green Edition has a limited edition run size of 230 prints and will retail for $45, while the Glow in the Dark Variant features metallic inks, has a limited edition run size of 90 pieces and will retail for $80. Both Swamp Thing movie posters go on sale at the Mondo online store today, Friday, August 19th, at a random time.

Argonaut Resins x Onell Designs Tuttz Bad Luck Squadron Glyos Figures

Argonaut Resins x Onell Designs Tuttz Bad Luck Squadron Glyos Figures - Leader with Ankh Staff

To be completely honest, The Blot’s never actually seen a Glyos figure in person, which is probably why there’s been very little coverage on TheBlotSays.com of Onell Designs and their extremely popular line of customizable toys. But when I heard Argonaut Resins would be teaming up with Matt Doughty of Onell Designs on a new line of Tuttz Glyos figures I got really excited!

Argonaut Resins x Onell Designs Tuttz Bad Luck Squadron Glyos Figures - Minions

There’s nothing better than when an artist you admire and a character you really like crosses over with another platform, especially when that means you’ll finally be introduced to a whole new world of toys. We actually have Rob Losito to thank for introducing END of Argonaut Resins to Doughty at New York Comic Con last year and suggesting they work together on a project. What they came up with is the Bad Luck Squadron, a fighting squad of mini Tuttz action figures!

Argonaut Resins x Onell Designs Tuttz Bad Luck Squadron Glyos Figures - WarLord

For such a massive undertaking, END brought in artist Victor Durango to help with designing the bodies, accessories and all the paint work for the entire line, and The One Cam and When Giants Meet to do the project photography. While it sounds like this project has been a ton of work, all of these artists’ tireless work has really paid off with the creation of some amazing Tuttz Glyos figures! More details to come…

SDCC Exclusive El Bandito Muerto Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez

SDCC Exclusive El Bandito Muerto Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez.jpg

Sometimes good things do come to those that wait! At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Jesse Hernandez unveiled his outlaw of death, El Bandito Muerto, and yesterday Kidrobot put its remaining stock of the black and grey vinyl figure up for sale on its website. Now those of us who originally missed out on this crazy new figure by not attending Comic-Con can add one to our collections…and at retail prices to boot!

Fully armed and ominous, this malevolent 8” black and grey pistol-packing bandit blends Hernandez' signature indigenous style with a seriously dark and edgy street vibe. The removable sombrero and sculpted detailed serape lay claim to Bandito's and Hernandez' own Mexican roots, but the colossal sculpted sneakers and somber six-shooter are less than subtle clues to this mean muerto's approach to life and death on the streets. Limited to only 250 pieces, the San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive El Bandito Muerto Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez can now be purchased at the Kidrobot online store for $100.

The Avengers First Look: Chris Evans as “Modern” Captain America

The Avengers First Look: Chris Evans as “Modern” Captain America

Thanks to MTV we now have our very first look at Chris Evans as Captain America in what is sure to be one of next summer’s biggest hits, The Avengers! While we’ve obviously all seen Evans as Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger, this is our first look at Cap in his modern day uniform. It’s pretty much a spitting image of Captain America’s look in the Ultimate Marvel Universe, and while The Blot prefers his traditional look in the Marvel Universe it’s definitely an improvement on his WWII uniform. I can't wait to see more stills from the set of The Avengers!

The Avengers is scheduled to premiere in theaters on Friday, May 4, 2012.

Curse of the Mutants Marvel Minimates Box Set

Curse of the Mutants Marvel Minimates Box Set - Jubilee, Blade, Dracula & Wolverine

This specialty market exclusive box set features four of the main players in the “Curse of the Mutants” storyline: Blade, Dracula, Wolverine and Jubilee. The Blot’s a sucker for all things Jubilee, so I am pretty excited to see a new Jubilation Lee action figure even if it features her new vampire look.

Each Minimate stands 2.5" tall with 14 points of articulation and a variety of removable and interchangeable parts and accessories. The Curse of the Mutants Minimates box will retail for around $18 and comes packaged in a window box.

Jason Freeny 36” Tongue Tied Qee

Toy2R - Jason Freeny 36” Tongue Tied Qee

The second figure in Toy2R’s upcoming 36" Artist Qee Collection was unveiled yesterday, and it looks like a really fun design. With that being said, here is the first reveal of Jason Freeny’s Tongue Tied Qee in XL scale. Limited to only 36 pieces worldwide, this unique and oversized Qee depicts Jason's artistic nature with humor and style. The Blot was secretly hoping for a 3 foot tall version of Freeny’s Visible Qee (how bad ass would that be!?!), but this design is still pretty cool in its own right. And a 3’ Visible Qee by Freeny would probably retail for even more than this figure’s $2,800 price tag.

Ornery Panda Shinsengumi Custom 8” Dunny by Huck Gee

Ornery Panda Shinsengumi Custom 8” Dunny by Huck Gee

To commemorate the news of his new Kidrobot Gold Life 3” Dunny Series, Huck Gee has released his latest Gold Life custom 8” Dunny, Ornery Panda Shinsengumi!

Each Ornery Panda Shinsengumi custom 8” Dunny by Huck Gee comes signed, numbered and includes all of the accessories seen above. Ten Shinsengumi custom figures were created, each retailing for $750. Anyone interested in these amazing customs should email sales@huckgee.com ASAP to reserve your figure and make payment arrangements.

First Look: Gold Life 3" Dunny Series by Huck Gee

First Look - Gold Life Dunny Series by Huck Gee

The Blot knew there was something in the works when I saw Kidrobot released a Gold Life Ornery Panda Shinsengumi t-shirt by Huck Gee as part of its Fall Collection. They’ve become really good at spoilering their own toy releases through their clothing line. Well thanks to Vinyl Pulse we now know Kidrobot will be releasing an entire series of Huck Gee’s Gold Life characters as 3” Dunnys! If you’ve ever wanted to own one of Huck’s amazing Gold Life customs but couldn’t because of the price, here’s your opportunity to own a few extremely detailed Huck Gee figures at an affordable $10-15.

All I know is KR better producing a ton of these because this is one blind box series that will literally be flying off store shelves. Talk about printing money! Everything Kidrobot releases that is Huck Gee related sells out instantly, and you know a full Gold Life Dunny Series will be no exception. Congrats to Huck on his very first Dunny blind box series!

Sketchbot Vinyl Figure Green Variant by Steve Talkowski

The Blot is way behind on this release, but the fourth colorway of Steve Talkowski’s Sketchbot vinyl figure made its world debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2011 last month! The Sketchbot V4 is florescent green and includes a stylus accessory for all you Cintiq aficionados! The Sketchbot is one of The Blot’s favorite new figures, and I love how digitally savvy this green colorway is (just like its creator naturally!).

The Sketchbot Green Variant by Steve Talkowsky stands 5 inches tall and has 6 points of articulation. Originally available at the Dragatomi SDCC booth #4935, it can now be purchased for just $35 from the Dragatomi online store.

The Ugly Unicorn Vinyl Figure by Rampage Toys

The Ugly Unicorn Artwork by Jon Malmstedt

Meet Rampage Toys’ (aka Jon Malmstedt) newest creation, the soon to be released Ugly Unicorn! The Ugly Unicorn is a mysterious creature believed to come from a planet where cake and frosting are the main source of sustenance. Via some seemingly random circumstances (a wormhole perhaps?) he has come to earth and now seeks the only thing that can keep him alive - CAKE! Due to his absurdly ridiculous size (measured by scientist to be somewhere around 75' - depending on his food intake at time of measurement), the Ugly Unicorn tends to make a mess of his search for food; destroying things and leaving rubble in his wake.

The Ugly Unicorn Vinyl Figure in Unpainted Red and Yellow Soft Japanese Vinyl by Rampage Toys

Jon recently moved to Japan where this fun, new vinyl figure will be produced. The Ugly Unicorn will stand a little over 5” tall, has 1 point of articulation at the waste, and will be released in unpainted opaque red and yellow soft Japanese vinyl for its first release. The Ugly Unicorn vinyl figure will be available for pre-order this Tuesday, August 16th, at 8pm EST in the Rampage Toys online store. Each unpainted figure will retail for $32 and comes bagged with a header card.

Age of X Marvel Minimates Box Set

Age of X Marvel Minimates Box Set - Rogue (a.k.a. Legacy), Cyclops (a.k.a. Basilisk), Magneto & Gambit

Hot off the heels of the popular “Age of X” crossover that ran through some of Marvel's X-Men books (X-Men: Legacy and New Mutants) earlier this year comes the Age of X Minimates box set from Diamond Select Toys! The “Age of X” storyline took place in an alternate reality where mutants were hunted and killed. The remaining survivors walled themselves into Fortress X, and the X-Men we all know and love lead very different lives there.

This Marvel Minimates four figure set includes the "Age of X" versions of Gambit, Magneto, Rogue (a.k.a. "Legacy") and Cyclops (a.k.a. "Basilisk"). Each Minimate stands 2.5" tall with 14 points of articulation and a variety of removable and interchangeable parts and accessories. The Age of X Minimates box will retail for around $18 and comes packaged on a blister card.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse MAQET by Yosiell Lorenzo

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse MAQET Plastin Figures by Yosiell Lorenzo

The Blot just found out about MAQET's latest release, and it’s a beauty. But don’t take my word for it, check out Yosiell Lorenzo's Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse! Produced by Jeremy Brautman and Keith Cottingham at MAQET, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are a 3D extension of the iconography used in Yosiell Lorenzo’s amazing paintings.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse MAQET Plastin Figures by Yosiell Lorenzo

To be quite honest I had never heard of MAQETs before. Turns out they’re made of Plastin, a porcelain-like material with a smooth, shiny finish, and each approximately 4” figure comes individually numbered. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse by Yosiell Lorenzo include the Anti-Christ (white), War (red), Famine (grey) and Death (pale green). You can purchase the entire set for $220 or a horseman individually for $65 through the MAQET online store. But if you’re interested in one I recommend acting quickly. MAQET is only offering 6 limited edition figures of each Horsemen, 3 complete sets and 3 available individually.
