Batman Rose Vampire Custom Vinyl Figure by Leecifer
As any fan of Leecifer’s custom figures can attest, the man absolutely kills any vinyl figure he gets his hands on! While Lee’s unique style is unmistakable, what really sets him apart in The Blot’s eyes is his use of pop culture characters (especially comic book superheroes). Over the past year, Leecifer’s been turning a wide variety of vinyl figures (Labbit, Big Sal, Rebel Ink, Shikaruna Dorol, Bangal) into his own version of DC’s Dark Knight and The Blot loves them all. While they’re all incredible, his latest hand painted Batman custom is definitely my favorite…the Bat Rose!
While I know all the comic book fans out there would love to get their hands on the Bat Rose, unfortunately this cute little guy was a commission for one very lucky collector. I just want to know when will we be seeing some Robin, the Boy Wonder custom figures!?! The Blot highly recommends heading over to Leecifer’s Flickr page where you can check out all of his incredible pop culture customs.
First Look: Monsters Inc. Pop! Disney Vinyl Figure Prototypes by Funko
And the leaks just keep on coming! After unveiling prototypes of The Incredibles and Toy Story Pop! Disney figures, Gemini Collectibles has also posted photos in their prototype section of two characters from the Disney/Pixar movie Monster’s Inc., Sulley and Mike Wazowski. While The Blot loves Disney’s Pixar movies as much as anyone, I am a little surprised we haven’t seen any Pop! vinyl figures of Disney’s core group of characters. Give me a cute and chunky Mickey or Goofy any day!
We’re still awaiting official word of Funko’s new line of Disney vinyl figures, but you can purchase the three figures above directly from Gemini Collectibles here for $75 each.
First Look: Toy Story Pop! Disney Vinyl Figure Prototypes by Funko
As more and more prototypes leak out, it’s starting to look like Funko will be releasing a whole new line of Pop! Disney vinyl figures. The latest Disney characters to show up in Gemini Collectibles’ prototype section as cute chunky vinyl figures are the stars of Toy Story, Woody and Buzz Lightyear! No word on when Funko will finally be releasing its new Disney/Pixar figures, but you can purchase the three figures above here for $75 each. The Blot's got a feeling this might just be Funko's most popular line of POP! vinyl figures yet.

The Suketchi Mama Blue figure set includes a 5.75" Suketchi Mama resin figure, a 1.75" Paint Shroom, and a 3" Paddopa sketch pad. What’s really cool about this release is every Paddopa will include a pencil sketch by Erick Scarecrow. The release takes place today, Friday, January 28th, at 12pm EST at the ESC eBay store.

Her traveling companions are Paddopa, a special pad that can translate her sketches into real objects and Paint Shroom, a Shiitake mushroom that loves to add colors to anything he finds dull.

The Legend of Zelda Screen Prints by Todd Slater
Sadly these amazing new Zelda inspired screen prints by Todd Slater are sold out everywhere, but The Blot still had to blog about them. Originally created for Gallery1988’s “Multiplayer” show, “The Underworld” and “The Overworld” screen prints feature amazing designs composed entirely out of images from Nintendo’s classic video game The Legend of Zelda. When I first saw these prints last week I serious could not stop staring at them…I found myself subconsciously trying to identify every single item used to create the designs.
Todd Slater’s amazing The Legend of Zelda inspired 3 color screen prints “The Underworld” and “The Overworld” measure 18”x24”, come signed and numbered, and each have a limited edition run size of 150 pieces. While these prints could originally be purchased directly from Gallery1988 or Todd Slater’s online store for $45 each, all prints are now sold out.
Men In Black Formaldehyde Face Resin Figures by Motorbot
As much as I love the OG Formaldehyde Face resin figures, Motorbot’s latest colorway might me my new favorite. Best of all, the MIB Formaldehyde Face colorway is actually 2 colroways in one: Classic 50's Green and the more modern Grey. But you’d better watch out, before you know it these men in black will be knocking on your door to help you forget the things you shouldn't have seen.
These Men In Black Formaldehyde Face resin figures by Motorbot come bagged with a header card and can be purchased from the Deadbear online store for $30 shipped ($40 shipped worldwide) starting Friday, January 28th.
“1-Offs” Custom Vinyl Toys by Leecifer
This Saturday at Super7 is the “1-Offs” custom vinyl toy show curated by Leecifer. Over 30 artists are participating and each one will be premiering all new customs incorporating Super7 and Gargamel Toys. From what I’ve seen this is shaping up to be a truly amazing custom show, with every artist bringing their A game. Not one to be outdone, Leecifer debuted his four customs for the “1-Off” show and all The Blot can say is wow!
Leecifer’s Melting Skull Rose Vampire seriously blows my mind, and how do you not love Lee’s Evel Kenevil Mummy Gator? Throw in his latest amazing Batman custom, this time it’s Batman Big Sal to the rescue, and a flaming Fire Robo, and you’ve got a little something for everyone!
It’s really too bad the “1-Offs” Show at Super7 is cash and carry, or I’d be all over a ton of the customs heading to this show. For those of you in the San Francisco area, the show takes place this Saturday, January 29th at 6pm. Be sure to get there early!

DC Universe Classics Wave 17 Blackest Night Action Figures
The Blot can’t lie, I was more than a little surprised to learn that Mattel would be releasing a DCUC wave of Blackest Night action figures after DC Direct already did such an amazing job with them. Then again, it looks like Mattel is doing everything it can to cash in on the upcoming Green Lantern craze. According to Mattel, Wave 17 is just its “first step” into DC Comics' Blackest Night, so I assume we’ll be seeing at least one more Blackest Night wave before everything is said and done.
DC Universe Classics Wave 17 consists of White Lantern Hal Jordan, Black Lantern Hal Jordan (as the variant figure), Orange Lantern Lex Luthor, Star Sapphire Wonder Woman, Blue Lantern Flash, Sinestro Corps Scarecrow and Indigo Lantern Atom. The Collect and Connect figure for Wave 17 is the modern version of the Anti-Monitor.
DC Universe Classics Wave 17 Blackest Night does not go on sale until June 2011, but you can already pre-order all of the figures above for $16.99 from Entertainment Earth.
Hellboy Screen Print by Florian Bertmer & Hellboy 2 Screen Print by Ken Taylor
Mondo continues its new Screen Print Director's Series based on the films of Guillermo del Toro with the release of not one, but two all new posters this Friday. After the killer Blade II by Mike Sutfin comes Hellboy by Florian Bertmer and Hellboy 2: The Golden Army by Ken Taylor.
The Blot loves that Guillermo del Toro is the first subject of Mondo’s new Director’s Series, but I do question their decision to release both Hellboy prints on the same day. I think it does a real disservice to the two artists. I mean how can you not compare the two prints when sold on the same day and have such similar subjects (and in my opinion one is a much stronger design than the other).
Both Hellboy prints measure 24”x36” and will retail for $45 each. Florian Bertmer’s Hellboy screen print has a limited edition run size of 240 pieces, while Ken Taylor’s Hellboy II: The Golden Army screen print has a limited edition run size of 360 prints.
Both Hellboy prints go on sale Friday, January 28th, at a random time on the Mondo Tees online store.

Metallic Treature Resin Figures by Motorbot
Motorbot recently released a wave of metallic Treatures and they look delightfully diabolical! The Blot’s really digging this unique take on one of Motorbot’s signature creations. The metallic paint on these mouthy creatures really pops and the Monster Kolor clear coat makes them shine like real metal monsters. One of these 4” resin figures has already sold, but you can still buy one (or both) of the remaining two Metallic Treatures directly from the Deadbear online store for $40 each. Get one while you still can!

Tabasco Custom 8 Inch Dunny by Sket-One
Sket One is really bringing the fire with his newest set of custom 8” Dunnys! In fact, these handmade Tabasco Dunnys are definitely my new favorite Custom Condiment Dunnys. The packaging alone just blows The Blot's mind. But don't take my word for it, check out the amazing custom aged pine box with logo engraved top the Tabasco Dunnys come packaged in:
Each hand crafted custom 8 inch Tabasco Dunny comes signed and numbered by Sket, features original Tabasco labels on the front and back of the vinyl figure and includes a miniature glass bottle of Tabasco. This set of 10 custom figures goes on sale this Friday, January 28th, at 1pm EST exclusively at Sket-One’s online store.
New Years Edition Tuttz by Argonaut Resins
END of Argonaut Resins is killing it once again with his new line of New Years Edition Tuttz resin figures! These metallic Tuttz will be released in 3 waves (16 pieces in all) and include a variety of colors. New Years Edition Tuttz Wave 1 will include the following colorways: Midnight, Money, Lipstick, Royalty, Sunshine, and the clear tint metallic haze chase figure, Charity.
What’s even cooler is END is donating half the proceeds from his one of a kind light blue clear tint metallic haze chase Charity Tuttz to the LCKM@$$ charity to fight cancer. The Charity Tuttz will retail for $100, while all of the other New Years Edition Tuttz resin figures will retail for $55 each. Wave 1 will go on sale at the Argonaut Resins online store this Wednesday, January 26th, at 9pm EST.
Johnny Cupcakes Valentine’s Day 2011 T-Shirts
Johnny Cupcakes released his Valentine’s Day 2011 t-shirts late last week and The Blot loves them! See what I did there? As you would expect, red seems to be a prevalent theme in JC’s latest batch of t-shirts, and I’m particularly fond of the Valentine’s Day Crossbones tee. Ok fine, I’ll stop with the V-Day puns, but you gotta check out Johnny Cupcakes’s newest hoody, the Original Recipe Pullover. It’s a comfy black hoodie with JC’s original fit hooded sweatshirt. Sounds like just the thing to get you through the long winter nights wherever you might be.
All of the t-shirts above can be purchased directly from Johnny Cupcakes through its online store. The t-shirts come in guys and girls sizes and retail for $34.99-35.99 each, while the hoody retails for $64.99.

First Look: The Incredibles Pop! Disney Vinyl Figure Prototypes by Funko
An interesting thing popped up in Gemini Collectibles’ prototype section last week, two never before seen unpainted The Incredibles Pop! Movie (or Pop! Heroes) vinyl figures! One is of Mr. Incredible and the other, the villainous Syndrome. Does this mean we’ll be seeing a wave of Pop! vinyl figures based on Disney/Pixar’s hit movie The Incredibles? All signs point to yes…and The Blot’s got a sinking suspicious we’ll be seeing more Disney themed Pop! vinyl figures from Funko relatively soon.
Grits Apparel x Complete Clothing “Greasy Spoon” T-Shirt Release Party
On Sunday The Blot attended the H-Town Sneaker Summit and finally got to meet in person an internet friend of mine, Levi of Grits Apparel! Not only is Levi a fellow lover of art, toys and the southern lifestyle, but he also knows how to make some killer t-shirts (see more here). In fact, one of my main reasons for attending the Sneaker Summit was to get my hands on Grits’ newest design, the “Greasy Spoons” t-shirt seen below. You can pick up one too, in black or blue, directly from the Grits online store for $25!
To celebrate Grits’ newest release, Levi will be teaming up with Austin’s Complete Clothing to throw a “Greasy Spoon” T-Shirt Release Party this Saturday, January 29th from 4pm-7pm. The event will feature Jaekim (91.7 fm KTRU's Phunkwhatchaheard/Houston) on the ones and twos and free adult beverages, all in honor of this exclusive t-shirt collaboration by Grits Apparel and Complete Clothing. All of The Blot’s Austin readers should definitely hit up this killer event, and please tell Levi hi for me.
Tenacious Toys Exclusive Silver Peace Kings of Atlantis Skulls by Argonaut Resins
Tenacious Toys, one of the The Blot’s favorite toy stores, has been tapped as the exclusive retailer of Argonaut Resins’ silver Peace King skulls. These Peace King resin skulls are part of Argonaut Resins’ extremely popular Kings of Atlantis line, and this silver colorway can only be found at Tenacious Toys. The silver Peace King skulls are limited to just 6 pieces, and each one comes with a magnetic talisman, a numbered certificate of authenticity and a custom-designed box.
The Tenacious Toys Exclusive Silver Peace Kings of Atlantis Resin Skulls by Argonaut Resins are available now and can be purchased here for $100.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Mystery Chase Star Wars Vinylmation Series 1 Figures
Now that Star Wars Vinylmation Series 1 has been released, Disney has unveiled it included not one but two mystery chase figures in its Star Wars blind box series. The standard mystery chase figure is Obi-Wan Kenobi, but since you’re guaranteed one Obi-Wan figure in each case, he’s really not all that rare. What’s really cool is Disney also produced an Obi-Wan Kenobi Force Ghost variant figure which they’re calling the Super Chase figure.
This translucent blue vinyl figure recreates Obi-Wan’s look at the end of Return of the Jedi when he, Yoda and Anakin Skywalker reappear from the dead in ghost form. Good luck getting your hands one on of these super rare figures though, they’re already selling for over $300 on eBay (making this one of the rarest Vinylmation figures of all time).
X-Men: First Class Teaser Movie Poster
Is every single comic book movie coming out this summer or what? I didn’t realize X-Men: First Class by Matthew Vaughn was also coming out this summer along with Green Lantern, Thor and Captain America. I don’t know how I feel about First Class, but I like Vaughn and he’s assembled quite the cast. The cast includes James McAvoy as Professor Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, January Jones as Emma Frost, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw and Rose Byrne as Dr. Moira MacTaggert.
From what I’ve read the movie will also feature characters such as Havok, Mystique, Beast, Darwin and Banshee, but no Cyclops? That’s more than a little surprising. What I really want to know is how well will an X-Men movie be received without costumes or the actual X-Men most of mainstream America knows and loves? Here’s hoping there’s at least the formation of the first class of X-Men, like the title read.
I’ve got a feeling Sony will be putting all of its marketing power behind this film, so we should be getting some awesome posters, banners and trailers for X-Men: First Class. Until we know more, enjoy the first teaser one sheet movie poster for the film. X-Men: First Class is scheduled to premiere in theaters everywhere on June 3, 2011.
"Walter Bishop Is My Homeboy" Fringe T-Shirt by Enclothe
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen an awesome “Jesus Is My Homeboy” spoof, but leave it to Enclothe to bring the funny with their new “Walter Is My Homeboy” t-shirt. Featuring everyone’s favorite Fringe scientist, Walter Bishop, “Walter Is My Homeboy” is almost as good as Enclothe’s first Homeboy tee, “Baltar Is My Homeboy,” which featured Battlestar Galactica’s Gaius Baltar. Personally, I like the BSG shirt more, but how can you not want a cool Fringe t-shirt featuring Dr. Bishop holding a melting ice cream cone and a brain!?!
The limited edition “Walter Is My Homeboy” t-shirt from Enclothe is a black tee with light gray print and comes in sizes S-XXL. You can purchase one of these awesome shirts, while supplies last, here for $21.
Obey Giant "2nd Amendment Solutions" Screen Print by Shepard Fairey
The first Obey Giant screen print of 2011 comes out today and its entitled “2nd Amendment Solutions.” As you can imagine, it’s about gun control, and believe it or not, Shepard actually began this print before the nation was rattled by the recent shootings in Arizona. The quote at the bottom of the print reads: It’s not the bullet with my name on it that worries me. It’s the one that says “To Whom It May Concern.”
“2nd Amendment Solutions” by Shepard Fairey is an 18”x24” signed and numbered screen print and has a limited edition run size of 450 prints. You can purchase one via the Obey Giant online store at a random time today, Friday, January 21st.

Seeker Tanks and Mini Patty Power & Cosmic Hobo Van Resin Figures by Arbito
This Friday, Arbito will be releasing not 1, not 2, but 3 all new sets of resin figures at his online store. First up is The Blot’s personal favorite, a set of 1.25” Mini Patty Power resin figures. Each one of the six resin Patty Power figures seen above is a hand painted and numbered one of a kind figure. To date, this is the fourth version of Arbito’s far out hamburger and is definitely a must get! For those keeping track, the first three were the OG 6” resin Patty, the Super7 Monster Family vinyl Patty and the mini Patty Power eraser.
Next up are Arbito’s hand crafted resin Seeker Tanks that originally debuted at San Diego Comic-Con 2010. Each of the five Seeker Tanks in this set has rolling rubbery tires, twin eyeball cannons, and a custom mini Seeker resin figure in the driver’s seat. These killer looking tanks are all hand painted one of a kind figures that would be excellent editions to any fan’s collection.
Last but not least is an all new four figure set of Mini Cosmic Hobo Van resin figures. Each one of a kind mini Cosmic Hobo Van is 1.5 inches long and comes hand painted by Arbito. The Patty Power and Cosmic Hobo Van mini figures will retail for around $25 each, while the Seeker Tanks will probably retail for around $150. All 15 of the resin figures seen above will go on sale in Arbito’s online store this Friday, January 21st, at 12 noon PST.
Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Figure Bobble Heads Series 1 by Funko
Funko continues its line of cute and chunky Pop! vinyl figures with an all new series of Pop! bobble heads. Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Bobble Heads Series 1 includes adorable 3.75” versions of the most popular heroes and villains in the Star Wars Universe like Darth Vader, Yoda, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, a Stormtrooper and even Greedo!
If you’re wondering why Funko is releasing bobble head versions of its Star Wars Pop! vinyl figures (on stands no less) instead of the format they have been producing, The Blot’s guess is it has something to do with George Lucas’ current licensing agreement with Hasbro. Can’t have two toy companies with Star Wars licenses releasing competing “urban” vinyl figures now can we? So instead of releasing Star Wars Pop! vinyl figures that might resemble Mighty Muggs, Funko gives us bobble heads instead.
Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Figure Bobble Heads Series 1 won’t hit store shelves until March 2011, but you can pre-order all seven figures from Entertainment Earth here for $7.99 each.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie Screen Print by Jeff Proctor
Is it me or does the Alamo Drafthouse’s Mondo Tees only release killer prints!?! I can’t remember the last bad screen print they’ve produced, and tomorrow’s release is no exception. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” by Jeff Proctor was originally made to commemorate Alamo’s pizza party / screening of the 1990 live action TMNT film on November 30, 2010, and is only now being sold to the general public.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” by Jeff Proctor is a hand numbered 24“x36” screen print with metallic inks. The Regular Edition TMNT print has a limited edition run size of 155 pieces and will retail for $40 each, while the Variant Edition has a limited edition run size of 55 pieces and will retail for $65 each. These screen prints can be purchased directly from Mondo's online store later today, Thursday, January 20th, at a random time.

LTD Tee - Shapeshifter T-Shirt & Art Print Box Set by Thomas Kraky
LTD Tee has released its newest box set, and it’s pretty freaking mesmerizing. “Shapeshifter” is by San Francisco based artist Thomas Kraky, who “was trying to capture that ball of twisting energy a school of fish has, so I kept repeating spirals. I also wanted to see if I could design her clothing to be completely from nature.” Kraky, a 23 year old freelance illustrator, designer and concept artist, incorporates themes of love for the natural world in his work, weaving plants, animals, and people together as one.
The limited edition “Shapeshifter” box set from LTD Tee is available now exclusively at www.ltdtee.net. Each box set includes a screen printed t-shirt and an 8”x10” art print with a certificate of authenticity all packaged in a custom screen printed box.
The “Shapeshifter” box set is currently available for $26.99, and readers of The Blot Says… can use the discount code “blotsays” to receive 10% off!

Dunny Azteca Series II Checklist and Ratios
We’re just two days away from the launch of Kidrobot’s newest 3 inch Dunny blind box series, Dunny Azteca Series 2! To help everyone prepare for Azteca 2’s upcoming release, check out the official Kidrobot Collector’s Checklist above, which surprisingly includes both colorways for the Saner and OCHOstore Dunnys. The Blot may be mistaken, but this seems like the first time KR has included multiple colorways for “common” Dunnys in their checklists.
The ratios on this series are also pretty reasonable, unless you’re a Jesse Hernandez fan. Between this series and Series 2010, Jesse’s 3” Dunnys have been incredibly hard to find
Azteca Series 2 hits Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com and select retailers on Thursday, Jauary 20th, and will retail for $9.95 per blind box.

The Black Cream Edition Ghostface Killah Doll by 4CAST
A huge smile ran over The Blot’s face when I found out 4CAST was finally releasing its vinyl figure (really it’s more of an action figure) of the Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah. Why this made me smile is because one of the very first posts I ever wrote here at The Blot Says… was about this very figure way back at the end of 2007 (you can see the original post here)! Flash forward three years and here we are again…I’m still blogging away and 4CAST is just now releasing its Ghostface Killah “dolls.” I definitely did not see this one coming!
The Black Cream Edition Ghostface Doll stands 9" tall, has a limited edition run size of 250 pieces and retails for $75. Each figure comes packaged in a full color box complete with mix tape and certificate of authenticity. This figure also has an internal voice chip that recites 7 catch phrases recorded by Ghostface himself. Originally this figure was to include two 14k gold accessories, but due to the extremely high price of gold those accessories have been abandoned (and the retail price has been lowered to compensate). The Ghostface Killah figure is currently in stock and ready for purchase here at Entertainment Earth.

Chase Gold Edition Mictlan Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez
The Blot alluded to the chase Gold Edition Mictlan vinyl figure by Jesse Hernandez last month, but now we know for certain they exist and how you can get one! Jesse Hernandez's awesome new vinyl figure, Mictlan the Aztec God of the Dead, will come blind boxed, and 1 in every 10 will be the Gold Chase figure seen above. They look pretty awesome don’t they? And once you get your hands on one you can reenact The Blot’s favorite scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark!
Each Mictlan vinyl figure stands 6” tall, has 3 points of articulation, includes the removable accessory seen above, and comes packaged in a beautiful deluxe box with magnetized flap. Each OG Mictlan retails for $60 each, but who knows how much these chase Gold Edition figures will retail on the secondary market.

Pink Mini-God Dunny by Marka27 - The Dunny Azteca II Series Case Incentive Giveaway
Kidrobot just posted the photo above on flickr and The Blot is pretty excited! What you see here is the hot pink alternate colorway for Marka27’s 3” Mini-God Dunny from KR’s upcoming Dunny Azteca 2 Series. The photo’s caption reads “Dunny Azteca II ‘Special’ Giveaway Dunny,” so I assume this means it’s the free figure given away (while supplies last) to those collectors who purchase a case of Azteca II on January 20th. But I’m not 100% sure of that. Without a doubt more details will be released as we get closer and closer to the Azteca 2 Series’ release date next week.
The Green Hornet Final One Sheet Movie Poster
Today’s the big day for fans of The Green Hornet as the live action feature film finally debuts in theaters. What’s strange is while the movie’s rating on Rotten Tomatoes keeps dropping, The Blot’s actually finding more and more favorable reviews online. Are critics being influenced by their low expectations? One notable paper is even claiming The Green Hornet will be the first big hit of 2011. Is that even possible? At least the marketing campaign for the film has been pretty good. I actually like the movie’s final one sheet, although it is a little strange that Kato is the poster's focal point instead of the Green Hornet. I know one thing for sure, there's no way I'm seeing this move in 3D!
The Green Hornet, directed by Michel Gondry and starring Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Christoph Waltz and Cameron Diaz, debuts in theaters today, Friday, January 14th.
