One of the hardest decisions The Blot had to make during the wedding planning process was deciding what my groom’s cake should be. After making a long list of ideas, I narrowed it down to three things, then two, but ultimately chose what you see below: a Batmobile cake!

Now this isn’t just any old Batmobile, it an exact replica of the Batmobile from Kenner’s Super Powers toy line (circa 1994), and it turned pretty amazing if I do say so myself. As a little kid I was already reading DC Comics religiously, so when Kenner started producing the Super Powers toy line in the mid 1980s I naturally became obsessed with them. Plastic toys with fabric capes and real punching action (by squeezing their legs together) were more than 5 year old Blot could have ever asked for.

I felt like this version of the Batmobile was a perfect representation of me, combining my two hobbies (comic books and toys) into the perfect edible treat. Not only did it look cool, but it also tasted delicious too. A big thanks goes out to Nadine Moon and the fine folks at Who Made the Cake! for all making us the perfect groom’s cake!
