Bad Dads: An Art Show Tribute to the Films of Wes Anderson
This Saturday is opening night of a very special movie themed art show The Blot is very excited about. “Bad Dads: An Art Show Tribute to Wes Anderson,” presented by Spoke Art, is a group show culling from some of Wes Anderson's most memorable and loved scenes, characters, concepts and themes, realized by some of the new contemporary art scene's quickest rising and established stars. In addition to catchy soundtracks, sharp dialogue and effortless cinematography, one of the main underlying themes to many of the iconic and cult-status films of Wes Anderson is the incorporation of characters with family issues, notably father issues…hence the show’s name, “Bad Dads.”
Spoke Art’s “Bad Dads” group art show opens Saturday, October 30th, from 8pm to midnight at LoPo Gallery, San Francisco’s newest art space. The show will be on display till Saturday, November 27th and is free and open to the public. Check out some of the amazing art debuting at the show, including this The Blot Says… exclusive first look at Gene Guynn's amazing Fantastic Mr. Fox piece below:
