Obey Giant "Freedom of the Press" Screen Print by Shephard Fairey

To coincide with Shepard Fairey’s upcoming exhibit Printed Matters, which opens tonight at Subliminal Projects, Obey Giant will be releasing an all new screen print entitled “Freedom of the Press” tomorrow! Printed Matters will be an exhibition that incorporates every variety of Shepard’s printed work, including prints on wood, metal, album covers and fine art collages on paper.


Shepard explains, “Some people say print is on its way out, that it will be wiped out by digital media, but I say you can never replace the provocative, tactile experience of an art print on the street or in a gallery. Printing still matters.”


“Freedom of the Press” by Obey Giant’s Shephard Fairey is a 16”x11” signed and numbered screen print. This print has a limited edition run size of 300 prints and will retail for $25 each. It will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, September 17th, at the Obey Giant online store a random time.
