While collectors have known about Luke Chueh’s upcoming 8 inch Blood & Fuzz Dunny for a while now, Kidrobot has still not given an official announcement of its release. Thankfully, Luke himself ended the speculation when he announced his upcoming signing at Kidrobot LA on Thursday, October 14th!
Luke Chueh will be at the Los Angeles Kid Robot store, Thursday, October 14th, for the release of the 8 inch version of his Series 6 Dunny, the aptly titled Blood & Fuzz Dunny. The flocked 3” version of this figure was sick, so I can only imagine how awesome an 8” version will look! The signing will take place from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, but I’d be pretty hesitant to get the actual figure signed…not too sure how a signature would look on a flocked Dunny.
The run size and price of this figure is currently unknown, but the artwork seen above was created by Luke especially for the packaging of this figure. The Blot will be sure to write a follow up blog post once more details are known.

The eighth screen print in the Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series was unveiled yesterday and it’s features Salacious B. Crumb, the Kowakian monkey-lizard employed by Jabba the Hutt as a quasi-court jester. The “Salacious B. Crumb” print by Rhys Cooper spotlights one of The Blot’s favorite scenes from Return of the Jedi, where Crumb is seen tearing out C-3PO’s eye as Jabba’s empire crumbles to the ground.
According to Cooper, "I always thought Salacious Crumb is the kind of character that makes Star Wars great. Little personalities like his are what give the galaxy far far away its depth and diversity."

The Black In White (and Red All Over) vinyl figure is the Munky King exclusive colorway of Luke Chueh’s latest toy, Black in White. Based on the original painting "Black in White (and Red All Over),” this hand-painted version features a bloody fur suit, blood deco on the vinyl head, a bloody knife, and comes packaged in a box featuring bloody box art! That should be enough blood to even satisfy Dexter’s bloodlust!

Kaws continues his Kaws-ification of iconic animated characters with this all new Tweety Bird vinyl figure based on the classic Looney Tunes character. The Blot’s not a huge fan of this Kaws Tweety figure, but I can’t wait to see what Kaws does next. First he teams with Disney and now Warner Bros…is any property safe?
The Warner Bros. x Kaws Tweety Bird vinyl figure comes in two collorways (yellow and black) and will retail for $200+. Tweety by Kaws was released by OriginalFake in Asia last weekend, and will hopefully be hitting the US sometime soon.
The Brent Nolasco x Blamo Resin Project will be introduced to the world at New York Comic-Con 2010 at the Tenacious Toys booth # 2878. This project was created as a way for Brent to express himself with a series of non-conventional releases. Brent wanted the process of making figures and products to be more fine art than mass production. He wanted a more "hands on" approach to making his next figure, which brought him to the medium of resin.
The first resin figure in the Brent Nolasco x Blamo Project is Mijo (My Child). This 5.5” figure was painted with acrylic paints and will retail for $300 each. Brent first sculpted the Mijo figure by hand, something he had never done before. The figure consists of 6 pieces that are hand casted separately and each piece is then hand painted by Brent, so there is slight variation in each paint job. This ensures each piece is truly unique and has its own characteristics that set them apart from other figures in the release.
Brent likes that they are more organic and free-formed than pieces from a factory which pumps out products for the masses. It makes each release more personal. The runs on these upcoming figures are going to be limited quantities, while others will be just "one-offs". Brent is looking to do some sculpting and other interesting things with these figures to keep the ideas fresh.
Yesterday, LTD Tee released its newest box set, “Legs” by Lady Love creator BABS. LTD Tee partner Mike met BABS two years ago in Mexico City’s burgeoning Condesa art scene. They became fast friends and have since shared many adventures together. BABS has been published in Dia Siete and Energia Hoy, and her Lady Love line of prints and clothing represents the plight of working women around the world. Hopefully you find her work as inspiring as Mike has.

We’re still over a month away from the series premiere of AMC's The Walking Dead, but the TV show’s marketing is now in full swing! Just check out the newest one sheet television poster for the show below. It seems like everyone is really excited for this comic book adaptation about a world overrun by zombies, but The Blot really hopes there’s actual interest in this property and it’s not all hype (ala Scott Pilgrim). Then again, the expectations placed on a cable television show are very different from those placed on a major summer movie.
The Walking Dead follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, traveling in search of a safe and secure home. Andrew Lincoln will portray the lead role of Rick Grimes while actor Jon Bernthal will portray the character Shane, who worked with Rick in the police department before the zombie disaster. Other cast members includes Laurie Holden, who plays Andrea, one of two sisters who join the survivors of the zombie plague, Steven Yeun as Glenn, an expert scavenger, and Sarah Wayne Callies, who plays Rick's wife Lori.
The Walking Dead, based on the popular Image comic book of the same name by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore, series premiere will air October 31, 2010 on AMC with a speical 90 minute episode.
Action Figure Xpress (“AFX”) will be releasing a New York Comic-Con 2010 exclusive New Mutants boxed set based on the characters’ original look in the 1980s comic books. This NYCC exclusive box set includes New Mutants Cannonball, Susnpot, Wolfsbane and Karma.
As an added bonus, the set comes with two alternate heads of Wolfsbane and Sunspot. This way you can swap their heads out with Karma and Cannonball’s so you can have de-powered versions of Rahne and Roberto in their classic yellow and black uniforms. I don’t think I can accurately put into words how excited The Blot is for this release. The New Mutants was one of my favorite books as a kid, and for some reason action figures based on these characters’ original looks have never really been produced.

Tonight is the season premiere of Fringe’s third season! To help get you in the mood for the mysterious and unexplained, take a look at the two Fringe Season 3 cast photos below. The photographs are chock full of clues surrounding Fringe’s upcoming season and the show’s alternate universe, appropriately named the “other side.” I especially love the cameo by The Observer in the back ground of photo #1.

For $100 you can catch one of these 10 inch long subterranean poly-resin monsters and add it to your collection. This figure looks fantastic, and as a fan of graffiti The Blot is always pumped to see vinyl figures featuring designs from such a legendary artist.
The 10” Vandal Express by SEEN has a limited edition run size of 300 figures, and is bound for New York Comic Con, Kidrobot stores, Kidrobot.com and super select retailers on October 7.
Besides a few “leaked” photos, Kidrobot has been completely silent about today’s release of its newest 3” Dunny blind box series, the 2Tone Series. With that being said, you'd have to be living under a rock to not know that the series dropped today in extremely limited quantities! If you’re hoping to pick up a few blind boxes or even a case (which includes 16 blind boxes), you’d better act quickly as these are selling out everywhere and it’s only 9am.
Since Kidrobot has still not made an official announcement about its 2Tone Dunny Series, The Blot thought I’d throw together a crude little checklist for all the collectors out there. After posting a teaser image of Chuckboy’s Cyborg Dunny from Kidrobot’s upcoming 2tone Series a few weeks ago, KR president Paul Budnitz unveiled the final product yesterday and it looks sick! I love the prosthetic parts of Chuckboy’s Cyborg Cat, especially that right hand. I can only imagine what customizers are going to be doing with this all new Dunny mold.
It looks like there will be no official annoucement concerning Kidrobot’s next 3 inch blind box series, but from all the rumors I've heard it looks like this very limited series is dropping tomorrow! So if you want some of these limited edition Dunnys, start lining up now!

ESC Toy is bringing the heat to this year’s New York Comic-Con! Erick Scarecrow is releasing not 1, not 2 but 3 exclusives resin figures at NYCC 2010, and each is better than the last.
First up is the 6” Wet-Suit Maria green colorway vinyl figure, which is limited to 200 pieces, comes packaged in a color box and blister tray, and retail for $55 each. What’s even cooler is this awesome new figure has its own commercial/short (produced by Esc Toy and Aeon Production), which you can watch below. The video turned out great, didn’t it?
The second NYCC 2010 exclusive is the 5.5” Pretty Boi Dramatic Bastard resin figure, which is limited to 15 pieces, comes signed and numbered in Scarecrow box and retails for $125 each.
Last but not least is the New York Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Pink Glow in the Dark (GID) S. Maria 6” resin figure which is limited to 30 pieces, comes signed and numbered in Scarecrow box and retails for $140 each.

Rumors have been spreading like wildfire that Kidrobot would finally be including a design by Angry Woebots in its upcoming 2tone Series, and yesterday Woe not only confirmed this but leaked a photo of the figure! Woe’s cryptic message on his blog also announced we were just a couple of days away from the series’ unveiling...so get ready!
The Blot’s been dying for an official Panda Dunny by Woe, and this 3” figure definitely doesn’t disappoint! Woe’s Luck on a Spear Dunny was actually a design he submitted a long time ago and Kidrobot finally had the good sense to put it into production. What have they been waiting for? Not only is the design “killer,” but the figure’s accessory, a dead fish on a spear, is top notch.
According to Woe, he had actually created an updated 2tone version for KR’s next series, but the designer toy company decided to run with his original design. Look for Luck on a Spear Panda Dunny by Angry Woebots AP to drop the day after the release, whenever that might be.

What’s really cool about the seventh screen print in the Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series is that it’s actually a three print set! Mondo Tees has teamed up with Ken Taylor to create a series within a series of prints featuring the popular bounty hunters from Empire Strikes Back.
Wave 1 features Bossk, IG-88 and Zuckuss, so you can bet the house that the upcoming Bounty Hunter Wave 2 will include The Blot’s favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett. These 8-10 color screen prints look fantastic, and I can only imagine what all 6 prints will look like framed and hung on someone’s walls!
The Bounty Hunters Wave 1 Set by Ken Taylor features three hand numbered 12″x36″ banner sized screen prints, each with a limited edition run size of 425. Each set will retail for $85 and can be purchased directly from Mondo Tees at a random time tomorrow, Tuesday, September 21st, here. The upcoming “Bounty Hunter” Wave 2 set will also include three prints and will go sale sometime shortly after Wave 1.

The Blot’s not sure how I just found out about this amazing custom by WuzOne, but it’s too awesome not to blog about! Originally made for Gallery1988 SF’s Crazy 4 Cult Custom Show, Wuz has turned Luke Chueh’s signature figure, the Possessed Bear, into DC Comics’ the Dark Knight. Best of all, he transformed the Possessed Bear’s controlling little demon into the Joker, creating a great juxtaposition of Batman and his archenemy.
The Custom Batman Possessed seen above was painted by WuzOne with acrylic paint and makers on an original white Possessed vinyl figure. You can check out many of the other killer custom figures for this show at G1988 SF here.
The final colorways of Argonaut Resins’ line of Tuttz resin figures (at least at this size) are about to drop, and Wave 2 of my favorite colorway will go on sale this Sunday at Tenacious Toys. Later today Disney will be releasing three all new 9” Disney Vinylmation Toy Story figures to go along with its previously released line of 3 inch Disney Vinylmation Toy Story figures. The 9” Toy Story Vinylmation figures are the evil Emperor Zurg, one of the Little Green Men (a.k.a. Aliens) and a special two figure set which includes a 9” Bo Peep and one of her 3” sheep.
The Zurg and Bo Peep 9 inch Vinylmation figures will have a limited edition run size of 1200, while the Little Green Men Vinylmation figure will have a limited edition run size of 1500. These three figures go on sale today, Friday, September 17th, at D-Street in California and Florida. No word yet if any of these 9 inch Toy Story Vinylmation figure will eventually make it to Disney’s official online store.
ESC Toy’s second release for September will be the Tomenosuke Exclusive Art Daibutsu Gray resin figure by Erick Scarecrow. After Erick’s recent trip to Japan, he was filled with a lot of inspiration. For him, the Art Daibutsu is a reminder of that amazing feeling.
This Japan exclusive gray colorway is limited to only 30 figures! Each 6" handpainted Art Daibutsu Gray resin figure comes signed, numbered and packed by artist. There is also a unique serial number that comes with every figure. To coincide with Shepard Fairey’s upcoming exhibit Printed Matters, which opens tonight at Subliminal Projects, Obey Giant will be releasing an all new screen print entitled “Freedom of the Press” tomorrow! Printed Matters will be an exhibition that incorporates every variety of Shepard’s printed work, including prints on wood, metal, album covers and fine art collages on paper.
Shepard explains, “Some people say print is on its way out, that it will be wiped out by digital media, but I say you can never replace the provocative, tactile experience of an art print on the street or in a gallery. Printing still matters.”
“Freedom of the Press” by Obey Giant’s Shephard Fairey is a 16”x11” signed and numbered screen print. This print has a limited edition run size of 300 prints and will retail for $25 each. It will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, September 17th, at the Obey Giant online store a random time.
The land of the Rising Sun is home to some awesomely weird stuff, including design powerhouse Shelterbank. With a half-dozen eyes, a crown and more colors than a triple rainbow, the 6 inch rotocast soft-vinyl duo Charlie & Cosmic Garbage have come a long way to deliver a full-on double dose of weird and awesome.

You know, if Threadless hadn’t just released a very similar design (the Ghostbusters inspired “Something Strange, In Your Beverage...”) a few months ago, I’d like this RoboCop t-shirt a lot more. That isn’t to say I don’t like it (because I do), it’s just not all that original because it looks so similar to a previously released design. Regardless, “RoboCup” is a pretty cool t-shirt and I’ll definitely be ordering one sometime soon. I mean who wouldn’t want to drink a hot cup of joe out of a mug of RoboCop’s head?
One cool aspect to this tee is that Threadless is releasing it on two different colored shirts! The RoboCop inspired t-shirt “RoboCup” comes printed on a light blue guys t-shirt or a pink girls t-shirt and is currently available for purchase at Threadless.com for $18. The shirt comes in both guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg proclaimed today, September 15, American Civil Liberties Union Day in honor of the ACLU’s 90th anniversary! To celebrate the 90th anniversary of this important organization and the end of the ACLU’s Leading Freedom Forward fundraising campaign, which brought in $407 million in cash and planned gifts, the ACLU commissioned Obey Giant’s Shephard Fairey to create the poster you see below featuring one of The Blot’s favorite actresses, Olivia Wilde (House, TRON: Legacy). The Leading Freedom Forward campaign was the biggest fundraising campaign in the ACLU’s 90 year history and what better way to memorialize this amazing achievement and milestone than with some equally amazing artwork. Aside from being a super cool actress, Olivia is also an activist and civil libertarian. She said of the ACLU:
I believe we have to judge our society not by how we treat the privileged and the empowered, but by how we treat the silenced, the condemned, the undocumented, and all those whose views and rights are deemed inconvenient. The ACLU works tirelessly to uphold the promise of the Constitution, and I am proud to support their courageous and necessary work. (link)

The amazing custom in Tenacious Toys’ upcoming Custom Marshall Blind Box Series is by California artist Leecifer. The Blot’s a huge fan of Lee’s work, especially his many Batman and pop culture inspired custom figures (definitely check out his awesome hand painted Super7 Mummy Boys!). If you’ve never seen Leecifer’s work, then I definitely suggest checking out his art at Flickrhere. Leecifer contributed four Skeleton Marshalls to Tenacious Toys’ Marshall Custom Series, three like the figure you see below and one mystery color variant.
