Thor Motion Picture First Look - Official Photo of Thor, Odin & Loki

Earlier today Marvel released the first official photo from their upcoming live action comic book adaptation Thor, which features Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. (link) This is actually our second look at Hemsworth as Thor, since an unofficial photo leaked a few months ago. The Blot’s not 100% sold on this film yet, and my uneasiness has actually grown since seeing the photo below. To me, the characters look like something out of that horrible Clash of the Titans remake that premiered earlier this summer.


From Marvel’s official press release: “Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the epic adventure Thor spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.”

Thor is scheduled to premiere in theaters on May 6, 2011.
