Nike x G.I. Joe Cobra Commander, Destro and Storm Shadow Sneakers

After seeing the release of the Nike x Transformers sneakers a few weeks ago, The Blot should have known a set of Nike x G.I. Joe sneakers was just around the corner. It’s amazing, anytime Hasbro has a good idea they always try to replicate it across all of their properties. Sometimes it works out great for the fans and sometimes it’s just overkill. I’ll let you decide which it is this time after checking out the photos of this G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra tie-in below. Nike x G.I. Joe Cobra Sneaker Set - Cobra Commander Alpholution Supreme Sneakers At first I was a little surprised to learn that all three Nike x G.I. Joe sneakers would be Cobra themed, but for the most part the only characters with recognizable color schemes are Cobra characters. Of course they could have easily made an all black Snake Eyes sneaker with an Arashikage Clan symbol slapped on the shoe's back or tongue, but that would have been too easy. Instead we get a Cobra Commander themed Alpholutoin sneaker, a Destro themed Hyperize Supreme sneaker and a Storm Shadow Sharkalaid Supreme sneaker. Nike x G.I. Joe Cobra themed sneaker set comes carded, just like its 3 ¾ inch action figure counterparts do, and best of all each package also includes the character’s official filecard on the back (a trademark of the packaging of Hasbro’s A Real American Hero toy line). My guess is they are retailing for around the same price as the Nike x Transformers sneaker pack, which is $100 per pair.
