Interestingly enough, The Blot had never heard of the Portuguese Azores islands before reading about this week’s episode of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. It’s pretty rare for Tony to travel to an area of the world that I have never even heard of, so it definitely brings a new, exciting dynamic to the episode. Having worked in kitchens alongside many generations of Azorean Portuguese immigrants, Tony decides it's time to find out more about their motherland and explore the culture that molded so much of New England's heritage.
