Happy Thanksgiving - Gobble! Gobble!
'Cause it's good
Love to eat turkey
Like a good boy should
'Cause it's turkey to eat
So good
Turkey for me
Turkey for you
Let's eat the turkey
In my big brown shoe
Love to eat the turkey
At the table
I once saw a movie
With Betty Grable
Eat that turkey
All night long
Fifty million Elvis fans
Can't be wrong
Turkey lurkey doo and
Turkey lurkey dap
I eat that turkey
Then I take a nap
Thanksgiving is a special night
Jimmy Walker used to say Dynomite
That's right
Turkey with gravy and cranberry
Can't believe the Mets traded Darryl Strawberry
Turkey for you and
Turkey for me
Can't believe Tyson
Gave that girl V.D.
White meat, dark meat
You just can't lose
I fell off my moped
And I got a bruise
Turkey in the oven
And the buns in the toaster
I'll never take down
My Cheryl Tiegs poster
Wrap the turkey up
In aluminum foil
My brother likes to masturbate
With baby oil
Turkey and sweet potato pie
Sammy Davis Jr.
Only had one eye
Turkey for the girls and
Turkey for the boys
My favorite kind of pants
Are corduroys
Gobble gobble goo and
Gobble gobble gickel
I wish turkey
Only cost a nickel
Oh I love turkey on Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Lost Wednesdays - Official Season 5 Poster
This season's theme appears to be "Destiny Calls," and so far the show's marketing has done a great job driving that premise home. I especially love the poster’s imagery of the division between the Oceanic 6 and the Losties still trapped on the island. One useful piece of information we can gather from the Lost Season 5 TV poster above is that it looks like Daniel Faraday’s (actor Jeremy Davies) life boat did in fact make it back to the island before it disappeared in Season 4’s final episode. So at least we’ll be seeing more of Faraday’s crazy scientific experiments next season. But where is Frank Lapidus in all this Lost craziness and why was he left off the poster!?! We need more Frank!
And for everyone who has been enjoying The Fray’s new single “You Found Me” in the official Lost trailer, ABC and iTunes have made the song’s new Lost-centric music video available for free download. Head over to iTunes and look up Lost Season 5 or click here to download The Fray’s Lost music video for their first single, “You Found Me” off their upcoming self-titled sophomore album The Fray due in stores on February 3, 2009.
Update: Ron English 8 Inch Dunny
From the text of the flyer we also know that the designer vinyl figure’s skeleton glows in the dark and that this 8” Dunny will be limited to just 400 pieces. A price for this extremely rare GID Dunny has yet to be announced, but it will go on sale at Kidrobot’s Miami store and online at Kidrobot’s official website on Thursday, December 4th.

Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak iTunes Exclusive Album Cover by Kaws
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get a hard copy of 808s & Heartbreak with the album cover featuring Kaws’ artwork. While the two versions of the album’s cover are not that different, it’s Kaws! While the general public may not be familiar with his incredible work, his street art and designer vinyl figures are some of the most sought after pieces in their respective industries. The guy is uber-creative and everything he releases either on his official internet store OrigianlFake or distributed by a third party retailer sells out immediately. But mark my words, one day I will finally get my hands on a Kaws Darth Vader vinyl figure.
Barneyism of the Week - The Naked Man
The Naked Man works!
This is going to revolutionize the one night stand.
This is like the forward pass in football, the slam dunk in basketball, the haircutting technique where they hold it between their fingers and cut right above it.
It’s a total game changer!

The Wrestler Official Trailer and Final One Sheet Movie Poster
Rourke’s Robinson sounds like the 80’s version of Hulk Hogan, but from an alternate reality where he was forced to retire while still in his prime due to a heart condition. The movie follows Robinson after retirement as he tries to forge a new life for himself even though he still longs for the fame his skills in the squared circle brought him. The Ram struggles to find meaning in the monotony of his new life while “he makes his way through the independent circuit, trying to get back in the game for one final showdown with his former rival” played by former WCW wrestler Ernest “The Cat” Miller. (link) It’s all very Rocky-like isn’t it? Check out the official trailer for The Wrestler below:
The Wrestler, which also stars Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood, opens in theaters on December 17, 2008.
Star Trek One Sheet Black and White Character Movie Posters
Here is a fascinating bit of trivia for everyone. In Entertainment Weekly’s almost 20 year history only one person has been featured on the magazine’s cover in consecutive weeks. Do you know who it is? The only hint The Blot is giving is that the answer obviously has something to do with this post…for the answer see below.
The answer is...Zachary Quinto! He was first featured on the October 24, 2008 issue's cover next to Chris Pine as the stars of the upcoming film Star Trek and the very next week he was featured as one of the cast members of the television show Heroes on the October 31, 2008 issue's cover. I’m a little shocked that in 18 years the weekly magazine had never before featured the same entertainer two weeks in a row and then they decide to do it with an actor who although his star is definitely on the rise, has really not had much of a career to date. While not significant in any way, it is a pretty cool fact. I just hope this fact isn’t one of his greatest achievements when this great young actor’s career is all said and done.
Star Trek premieres on Friday, May 8, 2009.

24: Redemption Airs This Sunday on FOX
Bridging the gap between Season 6 and Season 7, this made for television movie explains where Jack has been since he sacrificed everything for his country and became a wanted man by the U.S. Government. Without giving too much away, 24: Redemption finds Bauer working as a missionary in Africa when he is called upon to stop a ruthless warlord from drafting innocent children into his murderous militia. Bauer must first confront his own torturous past and face an impossible decision that will change his life forever. A decision that will set the stage and raise the stakes for Season Seven, which debuts in January 2009.
24: Redemption Trailer
24: Redemption stars Kiefer Sutherland along with Cherry Jones, Robert Carlyle, Gil Bellows and Jon Voight. You can watch the world premiere of 24: Redemption this Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 8/7c. This will hopefully properly prepare us for the 2 day, 4 hour season premiere of 24 Season 7, which begins on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 8/7c and concludes on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 8/7c.
New Star Trek Full Length Official Trailer
I just hope Paramount is able to market this movie successfully since a majority of the movie going public perceives all things Star Trek negatively. Over the years the franchise has really pigeonholed itself into this preconceived stereotype of only for sci-fi geeks. I really don’t understand it considering how popular comic book themed movies and all things Star Wars are in the current pop culture climate. It is something Paramount and Abrams will have to work hard to overcome. In the meantime check out the first full length official trailer for the Star Trek reboot/prequel movie premiering on May 8, 2009 below.
If you are interested in watching a larger version or a HD version of the trailer above, click here.
Star Trek - First Look at The U.S.S. Enterprise and Its Crew
Here is your official first look at the newly remodeled Starship Enterprise. Abrams stayed true to the look of Starship NCC-1701 but gave the classic spaceship a facelift and a more modern look. I think the changes are nice, yet subtle. I’m especially glad Abrams decided to keep the Enterprise’s unique shape.
I think the crew of the Starship Enterprise has come together quite nicely as well. In the photo below you can see almost all of the actors that make up the ship’s commanding officers and essential crew including Anton Yelchin as Chekov, Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy, John Cho as Sulu and Zoe Saldana as Uhura.
The only central crew member not in the photo above is Zachary Quinto’s Spock. But thankfully the photograph below is a great action photo of the Enterprise's bridge, which features Quinto in all his pointy eared glory.

Kidrobot - Reindeer Dunny by Chuckboy
The Reindeer Dunny is blind boxed and there are two variant figures for those of us lucky enough to find them. One of the chase figures has been confirmed to be a lighter colored Reindeer that comes with a spiked paddle that reads Santa backwards instead of the common figure’s bull whip. No news yet on the design of the extremely rare 3rd Reindeer chase figure.
Each 3 inch Reindeer Dunny blind box retails for $9.95 and you can purchase one directly from Kidrobot’s online store here.
Kidrobot - Santa Peecol by eBoy
What I really want to know is how long Santa has been a fan of the X-Men? Or maybe it's eBoy that's a fan of Marvel Comics' preeminent team. Either way, there’s no other explanation The Blot could come up with as to why eBoy would so blatantly “model” the symbol on Santa’s chest after X-Force’s fearless leader Jamie Madrox's (a.k.a. the Multiple Man) signature logo.
Multiple Man has been sporting his unique chest emblem for decades (as you can see in the pictures here) and it look remarkably like the pattern on Santa’s red coat. Maybe there’s more to the story here…maybe Santa is really just one of Madrox’s dupes. That would explain how jolly old Saint Nick can be so many places at once. All Madrox would have to do is send out an army of duplicates every Christmas Eve to deliver presents to all the little boys and little girls across the globe.
The Santa Peecol is 3.5 inches tall and retails for $9.95. You can purchase this holiday Peecol directly from Kidrobot here.
Huck Gee’s New Colonial Life Series - Sgt. Vasquez Custom Munny Vinyl Figure
This figure is awesome and I’m glad to see some new designs from Huck. While I think his Gold Life and Jungle Life series are great, Colonial Life is right up my alley. It has a very futuristic sci-fi feel to it and reminds me a lot of the military forces from movies such as Aliens and Universal Soldier. I love everything about Sergeant Vasquez, including his armor/backpack, weapons and tattoos. I think his “Game Over” tattoos on the back of his hands are an especially nice touch.
Huck has created 10 handmade Sgt. Vasquez Munnys and will be putting them up for sale on his ebay store at Noon PST on Friday, November 21, 2008. Each Munny is signed and numbered (on breast plate and shoulder pad) and comes with all of the accessories show in the pictures above. Each figure will have a sale price of $750.

Lost - Diamond Exclusive 100% Dharma Be@rbrick Figure
I just found out the exclusive Be@rbrick in question is a limited edition Diamond Comic Distributers exclusive 100% Dharma Be@rbrick. The 100% Dharma Be@rbrick is not only a smaller version of the previously released 400% Dharma Be@rbrick, but also much more rare. The Diamond exclusive 100% Dharma Be@rbrick has a limited run of only 1,000 figures.
The figure retails for $15 each and can be purchased while supplies last directly from Meltdown Comics here. Act fast though because Meltdown expects their allotment of the limited edition Lost Be@rbricks to sell out at tonight’s Lost Kubrick/Be@rbrick world premiere party.
Barneyism of the Week - Woo! Girls
The world absolutely needs Woo Girls.
If there were no Woo Girls, there’d be no Girls Gone Wild,
no bachelorette parties, no Las Vegas pool side bars.
All the things that you hold dearest Lily would be gone.
The souvenir shot glass industry would collapse. So would the body glitter industry, and the stretch hummer rental industry.
Tiny cowboy hats would be worn only by tiny cowboys.
And when “Brown Eyed Girl” would come up on the jukebox all you would here would be silence…and “Brown Eyed Girl.”
But who would woo Lily, who would woo?
Would you? Would you…woo?
"Woooo!"
How I Met Your Mother
It seems like we have a full on Jamie-Lynn Sigler renaissance going on right now. Between playing herself on Entourage earlier this season and now her appearance as Woo Girl #1 on this week’s episode of HIMYM, Ms. Sigler is back on the small screen and better than ever. Hopefully this will lead to more guest appearances on some of The Blot’s favorite shows. Because really, who couldn’t use more Meadow Soprano!?!

Mechanized Records Exclusive Skin Deep MAD*L
Coming out this Friday, November 21st from 7-10pm at its official release party is the latest store exclusive MAD*L Skin Deep. Released by Salt Lake City’s Mechanized Records, the 5 inch Skin Deep MAD*L is designed by the creator of all things MAD*L, MAD. MAD will also be in attendance for this latest figure’s release, signing and doodling for all his fans. For those of you in Los Angeles the figure will also be for sale at the Vinyl Toy Network event on December 6th and 7th.
I love the details on this figure, especially Skin Deep’s tattoos and MAD’s signature Big Money belt buckle. The figure will retail for around $40 each and if you act fast (only two remain) you can purchase one of these bad boys directly from MAD at his official eBay store. No concrete word on this figure’s run size yet, but I would imagine it is 500 pieces similar to the other store exclusive figures recently produced (although I did read somewhere it might be significantly less).
Frozen Empire Toys Exclusive Andrew Bell MAD*L
The 5 inch Frozen Empire Toys exclusive MAD*L designer vinyl figure by Andrew Bell is limited to just 500 pieces and sells for $37.50 (plus $6.50 for shipping and handling). While Frozen Empire Toys’ pre-sale has already sold out, you can still grab one of these very unique figures when they go on sale on November 28th, 2008 at 8:00pm EST.
Lift Exclusive Detroit MAD*L by Tristan Eaton
This first store exclusive is one The Blot is really hoping to get his hands on soon. The Lift exclusive Detroit MAD*L by Tristan Eaton was released to commemorate the store’s MAD*L Citizens custom figure show. The 5 inch figure is covered from head to toe with images in tribute to Detroit Rock City in Eaton's signature style. I think Tristan did a fantastic job with this figure and it's a great homage to city's rich history.
The Detroit MAD*L by Tristan Eaton is limited to just 500 figures and Lift has already sold out of its initial 150 figure shipment. You can currently pre-order one of these great figures here for $38, and if you get your order in before the pre-sale ends Lift will even throw in free shipping within the U.S.

Watchmen - An All New Set of Character Movie Posters
While I’m still not loving Ozymandias’ look in the feature film, the rest of the characters look spot on. Of the six posters each featuring a different main character, I think I like The Comedian’s the best, with Rorschach’s coming in a close second. What can I say…The Blot has to show some preferential treatment to the creator of the ink blot test, right?
I know I’ve said this before, but the more I see of this movie the more I like it. But, I am interested in seeing if the movie tries to show what it would be like if people with super powers lived among us or if this is a parallel universe totally different from the world we live in and more like the world author Alan Moore created in the comic books.
Watchmen opens in movie theaters across the U.S. on March 6, 2009.
Watchmen - New Teaser Promo Movie Posters
This City Is Afraid Of Me
I’ve Seen Its True Face.
Everything about these new Watchmen teaser one-sheet promotional posters that pair a quote from the movie with a pivotal scene are really great. I thought The Spirit did a good job using quotes on their posters, but I think the Watchmen quotes have a lot more gravitas to them. I’ve included the first one below just so you can compare the two, but you can click here to see what I originally wrote about the one-sheet below.
Justice Is Coming
To All Of Us.
No Matter What We Do.
Watchmen premieres on March 6th, 2009.
Who Watches The Watchmen - New Movie Trailer
If you saw Quantum of Solace this past weekend then you got to see the newest trailer for the upcoming DC Comics movie Watchmen directed by Zack Snyder. The trailer is absolute genius, and was so good I almost cried. True story. Now I’m kind of worried about what the effect the actual movie will have on me. Watchmen is an amazing story and is so much more than your typical heroes in spandex narrative. Thankfully, the movie appears to be living up to the high standards set by the comic book series way back in 1987. You can watch the newest Watchmen trailer below or go here to see a much larger version.
Watchmen premieres on March 6th, 2009.

Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II Airs This Sunday
The sequel to last year’s smash hit Robot Chicken: Star Wars is sure to be hilarious as Seth Green, Matt Senreich and the rest of the Robot Chicken crew again focus their sick and twisted sense of humor squarely on the Star Wars universe.
There are three teaser clips for Sunday’s episode floating around on YouTube right now, but The Blot refuses to watch or post them here because I really want everything about Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II to be a surprise. I’m really stoked (is that still a word?) Robot Chicken decided to do this again and can’t wait to see what George Lucas lets them get away with this time!
Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II airs Sunday, November 16th at 10:30/9:30c on the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.
What Made Milwaukee Famous - Free Music Friday
The SugarHill Sessions EP offers listeners a chance to hear the pure heart of the music of What Made Milwaukee Famous. It's just 5 guys in a classic Texas studio with guitars, piano and simple percussion, performing their songs in one take. No bells, no whistles, no overdubs. Called "the Abbey Road of the South", SugarHill is the oldest continually operating studio in Texas. Having played host to the likes of Lightnin' Hopkins, Johnny Bush, and Willie Nelson, SugarHill has been quietly contributing to the musical legacy of Texas for the past 67 years.
The Blot has been a huge fan of these Austin, TX rockers ever since their debut album Trying To Never Catch Up came out in 2006, and I definitely recommend downloading this free EP at the link below if you’re interested in hearing some great indie rock!

Coming Soon: Muttpop's Tequila Pop Culture Edition
Today’s comic book inspired designer vinyl figure colorway is the only one included in this week long series that has yes to come out. Over the past two or three years, Muttpop has become almost as well known for their amazing colorways as they are for their Lucha Libre vinyl figures. Tequila, the first Lucha Libre character released in vinyl form, has a huge year ahead of him with 3 to 4 different colorways set to be released. Of course it is Tequila’s Pop Culture colorway that really has The Blot excited.
Where’s Waldo Tequila?
Can you spot the two Tequila Pop Culture Edition figures in the picture above?
As you can see from the picture below, Tequila’s Pop Culture colorway is based on the Marvel Comics super hero the Incredible Hulk’s color scheme of green skin and purple clothing. I warned you it was a popular colorway!
Every Tequila figure released to this point is already sold out, but with so many different colorways coming out in the next year getting one of the new Tequila figures shouldn’t be a problem. No price or run size for the Tequila Pop Culture Edition figure has been released yet, but what is known is that there will be a hard to find Tequila Pop Culture variant colorway created as well. I’m still trying to find out if the variant figure will be randomly inserted blind box style or if it will be sold separately in extremely limited quantities. The Pop Culture variant figure is rumored to be based on another popular character but whether it is based on a hero or a villain is anyone’s guess.
