Today, June 19th, is the official release of the
Eggy Dunny,
Kidrobot’s newest 8 Inch Dunny by Japan’s Devilrobots. Devilrobots, best known for their character To-Fu Head and the line of products based on the figure, have possibly created the worst designed 8” Dunny The Blot has seen in a very long time. The Eggy Dunny looks, well, like a cracked egg and its head and body have a pearlescent-shell on it to give off the appearance of an actual egg shell.
The one redeeming quality of this limited edition vinyl figure is its price. At the low price of $29.95, the Eggy Dunny might be the cheapest 8 Inch Dunny from Kidrobot we see in a very long time. While most of the reviews I’ve read also speak negatively of the figure’s design, it’s hard to complain about the price. Especially after last month’s release of the
3 Bears Dunny Series, in which if you wanted all three figures you’d have to shell out upwards of $150. Regardless, if you’ve been waiting for a reasonably priced 8” figure to start your Dunny collecting then this is the figure for you! Or, if you’re looking to start customizing Dunnys but haven’t had the right figure to blank out, might I suggest picking up a few Eggy Dunnys.
