Later today, Mad Duck Posters will be releasing the newest screen print in its fantastic Classic Literature Series, Moby Dick by Brazilian artist Zakuro Aoyama! Basic on the iconic 1851 novel by American writer Herman Melville, Moby Dick (or “The Whale” as it was originally titled) is a timeless tale of obsession that has left an indelible mark on pop culture. The “white whale” is a phrase that is still widely used today to indicate an ultimate goal, conquest or obsession. Zakuro did an amazing job capturing the feeling of the book and the battle between Ahab, mother nature, and of course, Moby Dick.
Moby Dick by Zakuro Aoyama is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition features 8 colors, is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for $65. The Whale Variant Edition features 9 colors, is limited to just 45 pieces and will retail for $75. Both versions go on sale at 12pm EST today, Wednesday, March 29th, at the Mad Duck Posters online store.
