It looks like 2014 is going to bring us dueling Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mini figure series just in time for the new TMNT live action movie. Following Kidrobot’s announcement of a TMNT series comes word that The Loyal Subjects will also be releasing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles blind box series based on the popular ‘90s cartoon. I’m just shocked Nickelodeon would license two competing series of 3” vinyl figures featuring essentially the same version of the characters. You’d think they’d at least want these series to focus on different eras of the Ninja Turtles. Either way the real winner in all this is us the TMNT fans!
The TMNT Mini Figure Series includes Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Splinter, April O’Neil, Shredder, Rocksteady, Bebop, and two Foot Clan Ninjas (Red and Purple). I’m just shocked that April’s not sporting her signature yellow jumpsuit! That better be a rare mystery chase variant.
