With The Wolverine debuting in theaters tonight at midnight, I thought it only appropriate to highlight the film’s second wave of these beautiful The Wolverine sumi-e character movie posters! Sumi-e (or suibokuga) is a traditional Japanese ink wash painting technique and it is used masterfully here in creating these awesome one sheet movie posters. They also do a fantastic job setting the mood for the film, don’t you think? That little splash of red is intense!
The Wolverine Sumi-e Character Movie Poster Set Series 2 includes Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, Will Yun Lee as Harada (aka Silver Samurai), Hiroyuki Sanada as Shingen and Tao Okamoto as Mariko Yashida (Wolverine’s love interest).
