When The Blot first heard about this series organized by Tenacious Toys and Brian Ahlbeck (aka Lysol), I got really excited. Resin definitely seems to be the future of designer art toys, and so it was only a matter of time until we got our very first resin blind box series! Resin is King Series 1 includes seven brand new 3” resin figures by seven talented artist: Motorbot, Jay222, Matt A*, Brian Ahlbeck (of Dead Hand Toys), Dave Bondi, Rich Page (of Ume Toys), and Bad Applez Inc (NEMO and OsirisOrion).
Just like the majority of resin figures out there, each piece is cast and painted by hand. Because of this, no two pieces will be identical. And remember the picture above only showcases one of the many colorways for each sculpt. Each Resin is King blind boxes will retail for $25, which includes one random figure, a ratio card and a sticker. There will also be one Golden Ticket randomly inserted into one of the 40 blind boxes in this series, which can be redeemed for a 7" Teuth resin figure by Brian Ahlbeck!
